TASK 3 Which you think is the best organizational model fits your organization? Why?
Foremost, there is no single model that best meets the requirements of
all organizations. Hence, school heads or managers have to employ variety of models depending on the situation. In our case, I can directly state that among the four major organizational models, autocratic and custodial methods were used less frequently than supportive and collegial methods. Nevertheless, most of the time, we use the combination of all the organizational models which I sometimes term as the electic model. It is not greek to us that every organization has different needs and following another organizational or professional management is not likely to lead to lasting success. That is why, If there is one model that I consider more effective aside from those aforementioned organizational models, it has to be the normative model. As I study the benefits and drawbacks of this, I find it the best fit for my department since it matches the whole team's strategies and goals, and the institutions PGVMO's (Philosophy, Goals, Vision, Mission and Objectives in particular. Thus, I find it most applicable in our school, because when we plan and prepare policies, the management is more concerned about what should be done and what should not be done by the stakeholders, managers and employees to be more specific. In line with that, as a member/leader of a certain institution, it is our sole responsibility to discern what's good and what's not for the whole organization which we are part of. After all, it doesn't matter what model we were accustomed/mandated to use, so long as we, employees and employers love what we're doing, well- motivated at work and enjoy each other's company, so long as there is professionalism among us all, nothing will burn us out. Whatever model we are following as long as it works for the entire organization, it would be fine. Pearl Zhu once said, "An organization is on the road to success when change is part of its nature. "and if the professional or organizational model used pursue for a healthy relationship among the team, aim for better leadership and seek for the greater and better change within/for the organization, it only means that it is on the right track to becoming a better work environment for all job seekers and permanent workers.
