C0 2 HIGH PRESSURE CENTRAL SYST., SINGLE SPACE 50-00-03]
PROT., ONE CTRL. STATION >50 CYLS
A distribution pipe branching system designed and dimensioned to get an even distribution of
the C0 2 gas within the time Iinlit required. The pipes are tenninating in a set of nozzles inside
the protected space.
SYSTEM OPERATION
Open the release cabinet door to start C0 2 alarm and ventilation shut-down.
Open the screw down valve on one pilot cylinder and pull down handles on both control
valves. The second pilot cylinder is spare.
The pressure from the pilot cylinder will through the left control valve, after a pre-set time if
the time delay unit is installed, open the cylinder top valve. Through the right control valve
open the main valve and the booster valve.
The C0 2 gas pressure now built up in the manifold piping will pass through the booster valve
and creating a booster pressure for opening of the remaining, if any, closed cylinder top valves.
The pilot cylinder has sufficient quantity of C02 gas to release 300 cylinder top valves 3 times.
The booster valve is meant to be an extra precaution to make sure that all cylinder top valves
are released, if there should be any leakage's in the pilot system.
The C02 gas will now flow through the main valve into the protected space, which will be
flooded with C02 gas within 2 minutes.
EMERGENCY OPERATION
In case of failure in the operation ofthe system from the release. cabinet, the following
procedure should be followed:
Take the manual release handle and open on or two cylinder top valves by hand.
Open the booster valve situated on the manifold/collector pipe. The remaining cylinder top
valves will now open.

SMOKE SAMPLING SYSTEM
C02 HIGH PRESSURE 50-18-701
TYPE SDS-48, VERSION A
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
This smoke sampling system is designed to monitor the air from cargo spaces which are
protected by C02 systems. ·
Up to 48 cargo spaces/holds can be detected. Samples of air from the protected spaces/holds
are continuously drawn via sampling pipes into the smoke detection panel/extension units. If
smoke appears in the air samples, this will be detected by an optical smoke detector and both
audible and visual alarms will be given. A LCD-display will indicate which cargo hold is on
fire.
An air flow indicator per line serves to monitor the presence of a11 adequate air flow in each
sampling pipe.
Special3-way valves are fitted in the smoke sampling pipe work so that the C02 can be
discharged in reverse direction through the smoke sampling pipes.
For remote display of smoke alarms and fault warnings. The option repeater panel
is connected to the smoke detection panel in the C02 room via a 4-wire cable (RS-485-bus
cable).
The system in its layout complies with the requirements ofSOLAS chapter II-2, regulation
13-1 (sample extraction smoke detection systems). The system is designed to safeguard
against explosion according to IEC 79 and EN 50 020.

C0 2 lllGH PRESSURE CHECK VALVE 3/4" BSP.T. W/SEAL 50-03-010
GENERAL
The CHECK VALVE is specially designed to connect the flexible hose between the C0 2
valve and the manifold pipe in a C02 High Pressure central bank system.
The check valve should be normally installed on the manifold pipe prior to pressure test.
INSTALLATION
The check valve is supplied either with sealant (locktite) coated thread or without sealant.
Pipe thread sealant is essential to ensure leak-free seal.
In case of check valve with sealant (locktite), it can be installed directly into the female boss.
For valve without sealant, PTFE tape is required to be applied onto the thread.Wrap the
PTFE tape clockwise from first thread. Do not overhang the first thread as the tape may get
into the fluid system. The recommended tape width for 3/4" thread is 114" to 1/2".
Note: Locktite contains no lubricant. Therefore it allows only two threads hand tighten
engagement.

GENERAL
The C02 VALVE is a pressure operated cylinder valve. The valve fits all standard UNITOR
13.4 and 67.5 L C02 cylinders. The C02 VALVE is attached directly to the cylinder outlet
and serves to control the flow of C0 2 from the cylinder.
To operate the valve either a pilot pressure or a manual release handle can be applied.
The C0 2 VALVE, including the siphon tube, is generally mounted to the cylinder by the
supplier. This procedure deals only with the installation of an assembled cylinder into a
system.
SAFETY EQIDPMENT
The C02 VALVE is always secured with a cotter pin in the release mechanism and sealed
with a safety wire, when the cylinder is filled with gas and delivered new by the supplier.
The valve outlet is closed with a nut. The valve is also protected with a steel cap screwed to
the cylinder neck ring.
During transport and storage of the cylil)ders, be sure that the safety equipment is properly
mounted and without damages.
INSTALLATION
Follow this procedure when mounting a cylinder assembled with a PRESSURE OPERATED
VALVE TYPE B into a C02 CENTRAL SYSTEM:
1. Be sure that the cylinder is properly fastened in the cylinder rack and that the C02 VALVE
outlet points in the right direction. Do not move the cylinder without the cap mounted.
Check the valve outlet when the cylinder is fastened.
2. Dismount the cylinder cap when the cylinder is properly fastened and the valve outlet
points in the right direction.
3.3. When the pilot hoses have been dismounted and are to be remounted:
- Always inse1t new Cu-rings with the dimensions 15/8.011 .0 mm
- Torque min. 20 Nm and max 30 Nm.

The smoke detection panels and any extension panels are generally installed in the C02
room. However they can also be affixed on the bridge. When installing the smoke detection
system outside of the bridge, a repeater panel, available either for mounting on a wall or in a
console, is required to be installed on the bridge to report fire alarms and fault warnings.
To be able to easily read and service the smoke detection panel, the bottom of the housing
should be situated approx. 1.10 - 1.20 m above the floor. Any extension panels are installed,
in order, next to the smoke detection panel at the same height. At the same time the required
minimal distance for laying out the hoses must be taken into account. When using hose
brackets, the minimal distance between two panels is 40 em. When the hoses are tied into a
bundle without using brackets, the minimal distance between two panels comes to 25 em.
The 3-way ,valves (C02 system I smoke detection system) are usually installed under the
smoke detection panels and extension panels. The height of the installation must be so
chosen that easy servicing is ensured.
The fan units are installed in the vicinity the smoke detection panel in upright position
standing on the shock mounts. For service purposes a clearance of 300 mm above and 50 mm
beside the fan unit must be observed (type: SDS-M0440).
Provided that a C02 fire extinguishing system is installed, the air samples will be fed via
steel pipes to the 3-way switching valve. The connection between 3-way valves and smoke
detection panel is usually made with flexible hoses (see following table). The minimum inner
diameter of the pipes and hoses must not be less than 12mm.
To prevent water buildup, the steel pipes must be installed with slight inclination. Automatic
drain valves must be provided at all low points. For the steel pipes bends should be used
instead of elbows.

Voltage-free relay contacts are available for the following signals (switch over contacts, max.
load: 42V~/60V=/1.25A):
• Fault warning:
The relay for fault warning is activated when the smoke detection system has no fault
warnings (normal operation). As soon as at least one fault is reported or when at least one
detection line is turned off (offline) or when both fans are switched off, the fault relay will
fall into its deactivated state (fault state).
• Fire alarm:
The relay for the fire alarm is activated as soon as at least one line detects fire. The relay is
reset to its deactivated state by executing the reset function. A second relay for the fire alarm
with voltage-free switch contacts for switching 250V~/6A is also ready for operation in the
smoke detection panel (not in the repeater panel).
When a separate fire alarm relay is required for each line, a relay module or a relay box can
be used. The relay box comes in its own housing and is connected to the smoke detection
panel via the RS-485-bus cable. Please also refer to section 2.2.5 in technical description.

Repeater panels and the relay box are connected to the smoke detection panel via a RS-485-
bus cable. Two lines are designated for the power supply and two lines for data transmission.
The connection terminals for the RS-485-BUS cable have the same numbers on all devices:
Terminal 17: + 28V Terminal19: Bus A
Terminal18: OV Terminal20: Bus B
Smoke detection panels, repeater panels and, if applicable, a relay box must be connected
linearly via the bus cable (not radially!).
The cable ends of the RS-485-bus cable must, at both ends of the bus line, end with a
terminal resistor of 120 at terminals 19 and 20.
The smoke detection panel and the repeater panel already contain a terminal resistor at
delivery. If more than one repeater panel is connected, only the last repeater panel receives a
terminal resistor.
The connection between smoke detection panel and repeater panel and relay box is
constantly monitored. Defective cable connections or defective assemblies will be indicated
at the smoke deteCtion panel and at the repeater panel (FAULT: Data Transfer Device -x-).
NOTE: Missing terminal resistors can lead to faults in the data transmission !

The C0 2 VALVE can be opened and closed by pilot pressure or by a manual release handle,
enabling a complete test of the system.
To operate the valve (i .e. to open it), either a pilot pressure can be applied or it can be done
by the use of a manual release handle.
Note! The cotter pin and tbe safety wire must be removed before testing the valve.
Apply pilot pressure to the pressure cmmection. Necessary opening pressure of the valve is
approx. 18-20 bar. However, the C02 cylinder pressure is 58.5 bar at 20° C during storage.
b1sert the manual release handle into the hole on top of the valve and pull the handle in a 90°
movement downwards.

7. 1. The content of the cylinders should be checked by weighing or by a liquid level indicator.
This also applies to the pilot cylinders.
8.1. Ensure that the cylinder fastening assemblies are according to the drawings and pay special
attention to fastening of the assembly to supporting structure and that all nuts a.re well
tightened. If any slack, tighten the nut.
9 .1. Connect working air supply or nitrogen at required pressure, to the air/shore connection.
Supply gas into the manifold with all main distribution valve closed. When the manifolds are
filled up, close the ball valve on the air/shore connection and check the tightness of the
manifolds.
9.2. Keep the pressure and monitor the manometer for pressure drop while searching around for
leaks. Use soap test if in doubt.
9.3. If no leaks are found and the pressure is stable, the manifolds and valves are tight.
9.5. Leakage through the check valve may occur, due to small particles entering into the
manifold during installation. If so, try t9 push up the check valve ball to purge the valve. If it
does not help, install a 112" plug on the check valve outlet
10.2. Use a piece of tape over the micro switches on the power cylinders and in the release
cabinets. This to avoid unnecessary C02 alarm and ventilation shut down in the protected
space.
10.3. Open the distribution valves manually and close again one by one, with required pressure in
the manifold. Ref item 09.1. This to check the valves for proper operation.

Lamp and Buzzer Test**)
Carry out a lamp and buzzer test. For this, press the ACCEPT
11 button not longer than 6 seconds. All lamps, the background
lighting for the LC display and the buzzer must be on while
the button is pressed.
Fan Test*)
12 Check whether the active fan is drawing air. Then check the
second fan by activating the special function "Switch Fans".
Power Supply
Check function of main and emergency power monitoring.
13 For this, switch offthe main and the emergency power supply
one at a time. A corresponding fault warning "FAULT: Main
Supply" or "FAULT: Emergency Supply" must appear.
Air Flow Monitoring *)
Close each 3-way valve one at a time. After a few seconds a
14
corresponding fault warning "FAULT: Airflow Line -x-" must
appear for each line.
Smoke Test *)
Carry out a smoke test for each smoke collector. For this,
bring a smoke generator in the vicinity of each point in the
cargo spaces where air is drawn. A suitable smoke generator
is available on request (part no.B30.001). Check the fire alarm
at the smoke detection panel and at the repeater panel(s).
15
For the 3-monthly-check, cigarette smoke can alternatively
be blown directly into the flexible hose at smoke detection
panel.
Important: Smoke must be present at the smoke detector for
several seconds. Close appropriate 3-way-valve to prevent
quick removal of smoke during test.
General Alarm
Let a fire alarm go for at least 2 minutes without acknowledg-
16
ing it. The LCD will then display: GENERAL EMERGENCY
ALARM and the relay for the general alarm will be activated.
Final Test *)
Reset the fire alarm and ensure that no fault warnings are in-
dicated. When no fault and no fire alarms are showing any
more, the smoke detection system is ready for operation. If,
17 after testing the smoke detection system, painting must be
done, the smoke detection system must be removed from op-
eration until this work has been completed. Removing the
transformer fuse Fl from the power supply module can take
the system out of operation.

GENERAL
This document describes the procedure to be followed when leakages are detected at the
cylinder top valves.
OBSERVATION OF LEAKAGES
Leakages are usually found during the weighing of the cylinders, when they are completely
empty or with a loss of C02 gas. The con·ect cylinder weight including the correct amount of
C0 2 gas is found in the instruction manual on the filling certificate issued by the filling
factory.
Leakages can also be observed if the pressure gauge on the manifold shows pressure reading
when all valves are closed. This will indicate leakage through the valve seat.
During installation of the cylinders and when the closing nut on the valve outlet is removed
you will hear C02 being relived from the space between the valve seat and the closing nut.
Leakages can be found, if there is pressure left in the cylinder, by spraying soap around the
neck threads, in the outlet and on the total surface of the valve.
TYPE OF LEAKAGES
1. Leakage through the valve seat.
The most probable reason for valve seat leakage is inconect torque on the closing
mechanism. The umbraco screw on top of the valve under the release mechanism needs then
to be readjusted.

Nearly all possible system faults of the smoke detection system SDS-48 will be indicated on the
display. Please find hereafter a description of all possible fault indications.
If the airflow in detection line is too weak, the following fault warning will be issued:
I FAULT: ~lrllow Lihe -x- .. .. I
Possible causes:
• Remove the flexible hose from the appropriate detection line. If now the airflow fault
indication for this detection line disappears, the pipe of this detection line must be cleaned.
Refer to section 5.3.8.
• If the fault is still present, open the housing in which the pressure switch of the detection line
is located. Disconnect the cable from the pressure switch at the sensor connection module in
the middle ofthe housing. Connect a small wire instead of the cable at the sensor connection
module (short circuit). If the airflow fault indication for this detection line disappears now,
the pressure switch must be replaced. Refer to section 5.3 .1.
If a smoke detector is so dirty that its diagnosis value is outside the range for clean smoke detectors
I I
(less than 5 or more than 45), the following fault warning will be issued:
FAULT: Dirt In Line -l<-
To ensure proper functioning of the smoke detection line, the pipe of the detection line and the
appropriate smoke detector should be cleaned as soon as possible. See sections 5.3 .2, 5.3.3 and
5.3.8.

Step 3. Test 100% of the valves for leaks, with He/N 2 (10%/90%) at 150 bar. The test is per-
fmmed at inlet and outlet side of the valve. In both tests, the valve is put under a cap, and
helium is detected if there is a leakage over the valve seat or through any other part of the
valve.
(NB ! The above procedure desctibes only the main control steps, and is no production QA routine
for the manufacturer.)
At the filling station, the torque shall be adjusted to 11 Nm on all filled cylinders after filling . This is
routine at Rijntechniek, and shall be followed at any filling station.
Step 1. Check that valves are closed. If new valves received from manufacturer are with lever in
open position, return these valves.
Step 2. Inspect valves visually, look for damages in threads and mechanism.
Step 4. Degrease the siphon tube. Check that the thread isM 16xl, the length according to data
sheet 50-05-008 and the cut at the bottom end is 45 °.

Step 5. Apply the valve threads with 6 turns of Teflon tape, 3 turns clockwise up and 3 turns clock-
wise down again.
Step 6. Mount the siphon tube to the valve with Loctite 577 or equivalent.
Step 7. Mount the valve to its miginal cylinder as far as possible, if refitting of valves after cylinder
inspection.
Step 8. Screw the valve into the cylinder with torque 250 Nm.
Step 9. Control tare weight after siphon tube and valve has been installed.
Step 2. Lift the valve spindle by use of a flat screw-driver or similar in the slit on top of the spindle
on the pressure operated valves . Do never lift the spindle through the valve outlet, as this
can damage the valve seat. (Some old valves do not have the slit, and must be opened very
carefully through the valve outlet!)
Step 3 . Fill the cylinder with correct weight of C0 2 . Control the coiTect weight, max. deviation 0,2
kg for a 67,5 I cylinder.
Step 4 . Close the valve lever and inse1t the cotter pin to secure the valve.
Step 6 . Check for leak at cylinder shank and at the valve outlet.
Step 7 . If cylinder shank leaks, re-assemble the valve as desc1ibed above under Mounting of valve
to cylinder, step 1 to 9. If the shank still leaks, take cylinder out and put on hold until de-
cided from Unitor central cylinder management what to do.
Step 9. If step 7 and 8 is OK, put on the closing nut and tight it properly, insert the cotter pin and
the cylinder cap. Ensure that the cylinder cap is of the right, large size.
Step 1O.Test a random selection of cylinders and valves after 24 hrs. For larger filling stations, the
test per cent shall be agreed with the central cylinder management. If no w1itten agreement
exists, perform the test on I 0 % of the cylinders.

C02 CYLINDER VALVES C02 VALVE INSTRUCTIONS 50-03-018
INCLUDING C02 CYLINDER FILLING
During commissioning and routine service, the booster valves and at least 10 % of the cylinder
valves shall be controlled onboard. Also the booster valves can be controlled the same way "in situ" .
If one or more valves are found to have a low torque setting, all valves shall be controlled.
If some or all cylinder valves are opened as pa1t of the commissioning, all the opened cylinder valves
shall be controlled.
This valve adjustment can be pelfmmed on board a vessel, without the need to remove the cylinders .
Step 1. Inform the safety officer onboard the ship that the work will be done and that the C0 2-system
will be deactivated.
Step 3. Ensure that the cylinder is secure, make sure the valve is in closed position and install a
cotter pin .
Step 4. Use the special torque-wrench and "back off' the adjusting screw a minimum 1/4 turn anti-
clockwise to free up the screw threads (this action will not damage the wrench)
Step 5. Adjust screw to 11 Nm torque setting- the wrench will give the indication by a "click"
sound. (assure the "click" is not caused by the wrench coming against the fi1m pa1ts of the
valve)
Step 1. Infmm the safety officer onboard the ship that the work will be done and that the C02-
system will be deactivated.

Step 4. If loss of installed quantity is more than 10%, refill according to Procedure 2. If the level is
conect, proceed to step 5.
Step 5. Ensure that the cylinder is secure. If pressure in the manifold, relief pressure to open air.
Remove HP hose and fit the brass closing nut.
Step 6. Use the manual release handle and open the valve.
Step 7. Use the special torque wrench, and work the adjustment screw backwards and forwards to
ensure that the screw is free.
Step 9. Remove the closing nut (slowly to relieve pressure) and check the valve for leaks.
Step 10. Infmm the safety officer that the C0 2-system is active.
In the event that the cylinder continues to leak, it could be that too much friction on the screw thread
could have given a false, or incon-ect torque setting. In such case, repeat Procedure 4 with special
attention to Step 7.
Further continued leakage could indicate that the main seat is damaged, therefore replacing the valve
will be necessary.
Step 1 Ensure that the booster valve is secured firmly in a vice and the brass closing nut is fitted.
Step 2 Use the manual release handle and open the valve.
Step 3 Use the special torque wrench, and work the adjustment screw to ensure it is free.
Step 4 Use the manual release handle and ensure that the valve is in closed position. By using a
C0 2 test cylinder, hose and adapter anangement, place the valve under full C02 cylinder
pressure.
Step 6 Remove the closing nut and check carefully for leaks with leak spray.
Step 7 Isolate the C02 test cylinder and release the pressure, the adjustment is complete.

2. Loosen the hose fitting and pull off the hose from the smoke detection panel to the
detection line to be cleaned. (Note: Removing the hoses should prevent residual air pressure,
such as can occur inside the 3-way valve after the cleaning, from damaging the sensitive
pressure switches for monitoring air pressure when the valves are reset. As long as the
connection to the smoke detection panel is closed off with a shut-off valve and it can be
ensured that the shut-off valve will remain closed until after the 3-way valves have been reset,
the hoses need not be pulled off.
3. Bring the 3-way valve to the position "C02-extinguishing system".
4. Connect a compressed air source to the connections provided for it.
5. Clean the pipeline with compressed air.
6. When the pipeline has been cleaned, put the smoke detection panel back into its operational
state in the reverse order. Only reconnect the detection line hose at the smoke detection panel
after the 3-way valve has been brought to the position "smoke detection system".

For the purpose of self supervision the smoke detection panel must know the highest detection line
number and the highest address number of the actual system. These values will be determined and
saved in a semi-automatic configuration mode. The configuration will normally be done before
delivery of the smoke detection system.
If later the arrangement of the system will be changed (for example a repeater panel shall be added),
the configuration of the smoke detection panel must be modified. The following instruction explains,
how the highest detection line number and the highest address number of the actual system values
will be determined and saved. Prior to this procedure the smoke detection system must be installed
completely.
For the correct setting of the device addresses of the external devices, please refer to section 6.1.

If the smoke detection system SDS detects smoke in the air samples drawn, a fire alarm giving the
line number will appear on the display of the smoke detection panel and the repeater panel. In certain
cases a problem will arise in that the number for the monitored cargo hold will not agree with the
number for the line which is connected with the appropriate cargo hold. For instance, this is always
the case when large cargo areas must be monitored with two detection lines. In order to allow for the
smoke detection system still to be able to immediately report the location of the smoke source, the
output of a fire alarm can be adapted accordingly. For this, unitor offers two different solutions that
I
will be explained in the following section.
FIRE: une,3- ..
Using the ACCEPT button of the smoke detection system, you can call up a password protected
configuration menu. In this configuration menu, you can set the smoke detection system so that a fire
alarm will not only show the line number, but the cargo hold number as well. The cargo hold number
is at first identical to the line number, but in the next screen you can set the cargo hold numbers
individually between 1 and 99 to each line number. After you have set the cargo hold numbers for all
the required lines, you then have the option of changing the password, in order to prevent any
unauthorized changes in the configuration.
The configuration is caiTied out at the smoke detection panel. The repeater panel display will
conform automatically. Should the control module in the smoke detection panel be replaced, the
configuration will have to be performed again.
The configuration can be performed by unitor before delivery or by your service personal on the
already installed system without any special tools. For this, please observe the following
configuration instrpctiorts.
1.---FI_R_E_:C-ar_g_o_H_p_td_N_o-.2---(L-in-e--3---:-)-----.~
.Should these options not be enough and you would like to realize your own texts for every fire
alarm, unitor can also offer you the possibility of using a separate text memory. These are plugged
into already prepared sockets in the control modules of the smoke detection panel and repeater panel.
In case of a fire alarm, these texts are then automatically displayed. For more information, please
contact unitor.

Instructions for Configuring the Fire Alarm Using the "ACCEPT" button
The configuration is perfonned with the help of the dialogue on the display and with the ACCEPT
button. During the configuration, different questions will be put to you.
You answer these questions with "yes" if you press the button within the given time. An answer of
"no" happens if you don't press the button within the given time. If you are asked to enter a number,
pressing the button means increasing the current value. If the button is not pressed the current value
is taken after the given time passes. A smaller value is entered by increasing the value to the point
(up to 9 or 99) where the counter begins back at" 1" again.
A given time of about 6 seconds is available for answering each question. The amount of time left is
symbolized by little dots in the lower right corner of the display, and the end of the time is always
marked with an acoustic signal (3 short sounds).
The configuration procedure cannot be stopped half way through. Please proceed by first writing
down which line should receive which cargo hold number before you begin with the configuration.
Read the following instructions through in peace and quiet before you begin with the configuration.
You will go through the following phases during the configuration:
• Call up "Special Functions", run through Reset and after calling up the Reset function, press
the ACCEPT button again and hold it down until the configuration menu appears
• Enter access code
• Set the type of display for fire alarms - with or without giving cargo hold numbers
• Only for displays with cargo hold numbers: assign cargo hold numbers to line numbers
• Optional: change access code
If the results of the configmation after the first run-through are still not correct, you can of course
repeat the configmation.

4 Operation
The smoke detection panels and repeater panels have the same indicating and operating elements.
All fire alarms and fault warnings displayed in the smoke detection panel also appear on the repeater
panel.
An acoustic signaling device (buzzer), an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and three lamps (LEDs) for
"SYSTEM ON" (green), "FIRE" (red) and "FAULT" (yellow) are provided as status and alarm
indicators.
Operation of the smoke detection system takes place via the ACCEPT button on the smoke detection
panel or on the repeater panel. A simple push of the button acknowledges any alarms or fault
warnings at the respective panel. The repeater panel with the address "2" furthermore allows for
acknowledging all panels of the smoke detection system (smoke detection panel and any other
repeater panel). This repeater panel is normally installed on the bridge or in the frre control room.
I I
After starting or resetting the smoke detection system, the following message will appear:
======<SmOke Dete~lf.ri System SDS-48 =======
The system designation and the version number of the software will be displayed. After a short time,
the display shows the configuration of the system with the adjusted number of lines and addresses:

------~~Li~s~ 8 ; ·. . ~ ·.·. Addr.~~~1·-of;-~~-
In this example, there is an 8-line smoke detection panel (address no.l) with a repeater panel
·(address no.2). Address no.l is always the smoke detection panel. Each repeater panel and the relay
box count as additional addresses. A maximum of 4 addresses can be managed. See also section 6:
Configuration of the Smoke Detection System.
After approximately 6 seconds, the smoke detection system returns to normal operation.
