WEBINAR REFLECTION PAPER

The tourism industry has been severely impacted by the COVID-19
pandemic. Prior to this pandemic, as far as I'm aware, one of the sectors with great
income and employment opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry. There
are millions of fallen job opportunities as a result of the closure of tourist
destinations, restaurants, hotels, as well as airports. Regardless of the pandemic,
tourism's demonstrated resilience in responding to other crises, the extent and
scope of the current pandemic could well probably last longer. As a graduating
tourism student, I am concerned about my future prospects in the tourism and
hospitality industries.
The resource speakers in the webinar we attended discussed the ideas in light of
the state of the tourism and hospitality industries at the time. Understanding the course
essentials is crucial, especially for those of us who are eager to pursue tourism.
Learning the essential terms and concepts relating to tourism and hospitality, as well as
the nature of these industries, restores students' certainty in their chosen degree. It also
makes us curious to reexamine and discover the possibilities offered by the tourism and
hospitality sectors. I've learned that with a variety of program options in the tourism
industry to choose from, students who take a thorough look at all areas of the industry
and broaden their horizons are advancing the career path for my future.
