Nouns are labels or names for people, animals, things, places.

A noun can have two forms: the singular and the plural

UNIT 3: UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS AND THE QUESTIONS: HOW
MUCH/HOW MANY
Most of the nouns above are countable. (You can use number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 … to count
these nouns directly). They have plural forms such as boy – boys, doctor – doctors, bird –
birds, dog – dogs, ball – balls …

But some nouns are uncountable. (You can NOT use number 1, 2, 3, 4, 5… to count
these nouns directly). They have no plural. These are:
