Beakers are useful as a reaction container or to hold liquid or solid samples.

They are also used to catch liquids from titrations and filtrates from filtering
operations.

Graduated Cylinders are for measurement of an amount of liquid. The volume

of liquid can be estimated to the nearest 0.1 mL with practice.

Petri dish is a shallow transparent lidded dish that biologists use to hold
growth medium in which cells can be cultured, originally, cells of bacteria.

Wash bottles are used for dispensing small quantities of distilled water

Triple Beam Balance are used to determine the mass of a reagent or object.

Jewelers loupe is a small magnifying glass used by the jewelers to measure

and inspect their stones. The tool is easily foldable and measures
approximately half an inch in diameter with a range of magnification

A magnifying glass is a convex lens that is used to produce a magnified image

of an object. The lens is usually mounted in a frame with a handle. A
magnifying glass can be used to focus light, such as to concentrate the sun's
radiation to create a hot spot at the focus for fire starting.

A vacuum pump is a device that removes gas molecules or air particles from a
sealed volume in order to achieve difference in pressure creating a partial

A microscope is an instrument that is used to magnify small objects. Some

microscopes can even be used to observe an object at the cellular level,
allowing scientists to see the shape of a cell, its nucleus, mitochondria, and
other organelles.
A variable power supply is one which includes some means for the user to
easily adjust the output voltage and sometimes the current. Adjustment is
most often accomplished with a potentiometer, but may also be done with an
analog control voltage, a digital input, an autotransformer, etc.
Ripple tanks are shallow glass water tanks that are used to create a variety of
wave patterns to illustrate wavelength, velocity and frequency. Ripple tanks
can also demonstrate interference, diffraction, refraction and reflection.
