The learner demonstrates understanding of how Anglo-American literature
and other text types serve as means of enhancing the self; also how to use
processing, assessing, summarizing information, word derivation and
formation strategies, appropriate word order, punctuation marks and
interjections to enable him/her to participate actively in a speech choir.

The learner actively participates in a speech choir through using effective
verbal and non-verbal strategies based on the following criteria: Focus, Voice,
Delivery, Facial Expressions, Body Movements/ Gestures and Audience

IV.PROCEDURES
Teacher’s Activity
A. Review Previous Lessons The teacher will ask the students to remember the last lesson that was
discussed and ask the following questions:
What are the five types of figure of speech?
What qualities does the speaker in the poem encourage his son to pursue?
Directions: Get a piece of paper and write the words or things that bring you
joy and happiness. Share your answers Then fill the box with the papers.
The teacher will first share to students the things that can make her happy.
Then will ask the students to share the class what brings them joy and
happiness. (Orally)
