WHEN GOD SPEAKS

What comes into our minds when we read the phrase “When God Speaks”?
When God’s speaks everything was created beautiful.
Meron daw tayong dalawang pinakikinggan. Ano kaya yun?
God and the World
Often, we tend to listen what the world is saying (by peer, family, co-worker) we always
want to please them even it will compromise what God wants to do.
I have here three things to remember when God speaks
KNOW WHO YOU ARE TALKING TO (Bakit ako makikinig? Sino ka? Bakit dapat
kitang pakinggan?) Kilalanin natin sino ba ang kumakausap satin. Minsan kinakausap
Let’s talk about the life of Moses during his calling to lead the Israel out of Egypt.
(Kwento ang buhay ni Moses ng maikli)
Exodus 3:2
The Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he
looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire yet the bush was not consumed.
(There are something happening beyond normal) sometimes there are things happening
in our life that is beyond normal or beyond our control, that might be the sign that the
Lord want to speak to us.
Exodus 3:3
So Moses said, “I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not
burned up.”
If you really want to listen to what God is saying, we must turn aside (the thing that
catch your whole attention, your time, your interest, mga bagay na alam na nagiging
dahilan bakit tau nakakalimot sa Diyos) everything to focus on what happen to us
beyond normal. (What’s wrong with me? Why did not hear you?) relate to real life
situation to the testimony (bakit lagi syang may answered prayer, bakit parang lagi
syang masaya, bakit pag nagbabasa sya ng bible talaga naming nagrerema o
naiintindihan at nagagawa pa nya sa tunay na buhay) (you will just need to turn aside
for a while) baka masyado ka nang kinain ng trabaho mo, pag aaral mo, relasyon mo,
(turn
aside all your baggage)
Exodus 3:4
When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the
bush and said “Moses, Moses!” And he said “Here I am.”
(God catch the attention of Moses through the burning bush)
God took the iniative to call our attention and talk to us
God is always on the first move.
Exodus 3:7
The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have
given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.
(If you think that nobody knows what happen or what your situation in life, God
knows!)
Exodus 3:8
So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptian and to bring them
up from that land to a good and spacious land, land flowing with milk and honey, to the
place of the Caanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Peizzite and the Hivite and
the Jebusite.
Exodus 3:9
Now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to me; furthermore, I have seen the
oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.
Exodus 3:10
Therefore, come now, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people,
the sons of Israel, out of Egypt. (God want to use us for others and for ourselves as well)
(God wants to use Christians) (Tingnan mo katabi mo, mukhang kawawa, Tulungan
mo!)
Exodus 3:11
But Moses said to God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that should bring
the sons of Israel out of Egypt?” (Dwelling in the past, Listening to the past, listen to the
world) (Moses as murderer) (Us a sinners, us poor, us weak) (Do not dwell in the past,
dwell in what God has called you, remember God did not call us by our sins, but by our
names, He believes in our potential in our capabilities) 2 Corinthians 5:17 (Therefore if
anyone is in Christ, the creation has come, the old has gone, the new is here) so do not
dwell on the past!
Exodus 3:12
And He said, “Certainly I will be with you, and this shall be the sign to you that it is I
who have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall worship
God at this mountain.”
(Pag kinausap tau ng Diyos at may ipinagagawa sa atin wag tayong matakot, pagkat
sasamahan nya tayo at hindi nya tayo pababayaan.) Ako ang sasama sayo at hindi kita
pababayaan.
LISTEN CAREFULLY
Exodus 3:15
God, furthermore, said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, “The Lord,
the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,
has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is My memorial-name to all
generations.
Exodus 3:16
“Go and gather the elders of Israel together and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your
father, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying, “I am indeed
concerned about you and what has been done to you in Egypt.
Exodus 3:17
“ So I said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of Canaanite and
Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite, to a land
flowing with milk and honey.”
Exodus 3:18
“They will pay heed to what you say; and you with the elders of Israel will come to the
king of Egypt and you will say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with
us. So now, please, let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may
sacrifice to the Lord our God.’
Exodus 3:18
“But I know that the king of Egypt will not permit you to go, except under compulsion.
Why do we need to listen carefully? Because when God speaks, He speaks in details.
(Sinasabi nya ang gagawin mo, mangyayari pag ginawa, manyayari pag ndi mo ginawa
at iba pang manyayari sau along the process, sasabihin nya rin kong ano ang output.)
Just like the journey of Moses and Israelites out of Egypt. (It’s up to us, if will listen,
obey and trust Lord’s process) Ex. John 16:33 In this worl you will have trouble, but take
heart I have overcome the world.
Kristiyano may mga pagsubok at problema para hindi na tau magulat, but we have an
assurance that Lord already overcome it.
OBEY DILIGENTLY
Exodus 4:1
…”What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say?...
(Deal with you doubt, do not be afraid to ask God, and say to God what is your weakness
and fear)
Exodus 4:2 (Staff to snake) latter verse of miracle did by the Lord
Remember: This is not about us, but about God.
Not about what can we do, but what God can do through you.
Exodus 4:14-18 (Aaron as speaker of Moses) (Pagtanggi ni Moses)
Minsan ang dami nating tanong, ang dami nating concerns ang dami nating dahilan
katulad ni Moses pero ang totoo lang We are not willing to obey (God will make a way
for you to obey). When God speaks, pay attention, listen and obey
