CHAPTER IV

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

Summary

1. The finding of table 1 present the learning strategies of students in online learning. The

statements got the highest means are: Item 8 “When I do my tasks, I will accompany it with

positive feelings because when I think positively, I like to study more.” item 4 “Before I start

studying, I try to consider the importance, interest or applicability of what I'm going to

study.” and item 6 “I have a specific goal in mind when doing task, I usually divide the task,

work or study into parts, to make it easier for myself.” which are all interpreted as agree. This

mean that these learning strategies is somehow applicable for the respondents. This further

implies that it was agreed by majority of the respondents that these are the most common

learning strategies of students in online learning.

2. The findings of table 2 present the learning strategies of students in online learning. The

values got the highest means are: statement 5 “To encourage myself to study, I often reward

myself if I reach a goal. For instance, if I passed my exam, I'm going to the beach.” item 8 “I

often encourage myself with positive things when I can achieve what I has set for myself.”

item 7 “I try to set goals for myself before studying to motivate myself.” and item 1 “I usually

participate in class discussions asking questions to the subject teacher in order to understand

the lessons very well.” which are all interpreted as agree. This mean that these learning

strategies is somehow applicable for the respondents in the face to face learning. This further

implies that it was agreed by majority of the respondents that these are the most common

learning strategies of students in face to face learning.

Conclusion

Based on the findings, the researchers concluded that the Grade 12 HUMSS students of

Notre Dame University in online learning and face to face learning are somehow applicable

for the respondents. Furthermore, implies that it was agreed by the majority of the

respondents that these are the most common learning strategies of students in both online and

face-to-face learning.

Recommendations

Based on the findings and conclusions, the researchers hereby present the following

recommendations:

1. To the students, step out your comfort zone and participate in class to improve academic

performance.

2. To students, list down your goals whenever you study to concentrate more.

3. To students, manage your time so that you don't have to cram your school works later on.

4. Students choose an area in their homes that’s free from common distractions.
