INSTRUCTIONS:
This is a group assignment for which you are required to do a presentation. Each group will
assume the role of an IT Project team. You are required to identify an organization (fictitious or
real) and outline their IT Project Management needs, then design and implement an IT Project
for the organization. Each group will get thirteen (13) minutes to do their presentation and two
(2) minutes to answer any question(s). Group composition: No more than four (4) students per
group.

Requirements:

1. Give a description of the organization.

2. Describe a software application (mobile or otherwise) to be created for the organization,


this will be your IT Project.

3. Outline the organization’s IT Project Management needs based on the software


application IT Project to be undertaken (i.e., why they need IT Project Management,
justify the importance of project management, etc.). Give at least three clear needs.

4. Outline the steps involved in the Project Management Life Cycle in relation to the
software application IT Project to be implemented for the organization.

5. Complete the following Project Management related tasks:

a) Develop a Cost-benefit analysis for your IT Project.

b) Create a PERT Chart for your IT Project.

c) Create mock-ups of at least three (3) application screens.

d) Clearly explain how you will monitor change requests.

e) Outline a strategy that will be used to appraise your team members performance.
