Description Automated and Computerized DV (Distributor Valve) Test bench for
coaching-ICF and freight stock of all types.

1. PURPOSE & CAPABILITY

Test bench for Distributor valve will be utilized for testing of satisfactorily working of all type of
Distributor Valve ofair brake system with single as well as twin pipe fitted wagon & coach.

2. SCOPE OF SUPPLY
• The test rig to be equipped with computer, mouse, keyboard etc. with ink-tank printer & scanner to
print and scan the test results.
• Provision ofinternet connection at the computer for online solutions.
• Locking & unlocking arrangement ofcomputer and its accessories.

3. CONSTRUCTIONS:
• The proposed test stand to be a steel struchtre which will house all the rig components.
• The proposed test rig to be within SS cabinet which can be opened in time to time for the
maintenance.
• In the proposed Test Stand, the height of the center ofthe Common Pipe Bracket from the ground
. ) level (including castor wheel) should be in between 850 mm and 900 mm.
• Complete electrical wiring within a cabinet inside the main cabinet.
• The test rig to be fitted with heavy duty castor wheels with self locking arrangement with
appropriate size.
• The proposed test stand should be interfaced with a panel consisting of both digital and analog
pressure gauges and timer thus facilitating the recording oftiming i.e. AR & CR charging time and
B.C application and release timing.
• The proposed test stand should also be interfaced with an external panel consisting of PC base data
acquisition system along with the application software customize to record various data/reading.
• During testing a distributor valve in auto mode at any point if it is required to check a particular
stage, provision to be kept to switch over the system to manual mode where each individual
operation can be performed by electrical push button switch from the operators control panel.

4. FEATURES OF TEST RIG:

• Suitable for both Coaches and Wagons DVs.
• Provisions for both fully automatic and manual operation of testing.
• All design and tests as required under RDSO guide line viz. CAMTECH, 02-ABR-02, 04-ABR-02
and OEM's manual should be performed.
• Programmable Digital pressure gauge for more accurate reading and facility for inter facing with
timer and PC based data acquisition system so as to record various data/reading and printing oftest
reports.
• Automatically record various timing i.e. AR charging, CR charging, BC application& BC release
(empty and loaded conditions in case ofDV with Pressure Transformer) etc.
• Colour coded indication for conforming and non-conforming of test results in the computer screen
as well as in the test report for further troubleshooting.

• Air Charging Time of various Reservoirs.
• Full Service Application and Release ofBrake.
• Overcharge Protection of Control Reservoir.
• Emergency Application ofBrakes.
• Sensitivity and Insensitivity to Brake Pipe Pressure Drop.
• Re-feeding ofBrake Cylinder on case ofLeakage.
• Graduated Application ofBrake Cylinder.
• Graduated Release ofBrake Cylinder.
• Quick Release Test.

 6. Optional Accessories:
The tenderer shall quote separately for the optional accessories, which in the option of the tenderer shall
improve the efficiency and productivity of the equipment.

7. Maintenance Spares
Maintenance Spares for two years normal maintenance to cover complete range of Elect. & Mech.
Components (consumable & non-consumable) shall be supplied along with the equipment.

8. Safety Features
All safety features for personal safety and machine overload must be detailed in the offer. All protective
devices should be fully conforming to latest safety regulations in force.

9. DRAWINGS:
8.1 General arrangement drawing shall be supplied by the tenderer along with the quotation so as to
have an idea of the plant offer by them.
8.2. Detail GA Drawing Mechanical & Electrical shall be supplied by the successful tenderer m
4(four) copies and get it approved by the consignee before commencement of the manufacturing.

10. MANUALS:
Instruction, operation, maintenance and spare parts manual, trouble shooting guide etc. shall be supplied by
the successful tenderer along with the equipment in four copies (hard copy and soft copy) free of cost.

11. JOINT INSPECTION INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING:

The supplier shall depute their representative for joint inspection of the consignment free of cost on receipt
of call from the consignee. Supply, Installation & Commissioning shall be on 11JRN KEY basis will be 1
preferable.

12. AFTER SALES SERVICE:

The supplier shall ensure & quote separately for after sales service/annual maintenance contract either by
them or by their nominated agent for trouble free service of the plant after warranty period.

13. DEMONSTRATION AND TRAINING:

The supplier shall demonstrate the working of the machine and shall fully and adequately train the operator
and maintenance personal of the consignee free of cost.
