I. OBJECTIVE:
At the end of 50 minutes 100% of learners are expected to describe the changes of
weather considering the presence of the sun.

II. CONTENT:
Subject Matter: Changes of weather considering the presence of the sun.
Value Integration: Being careful in protecting oneself against the harmful rays of the sun.

This morning we will study on describing the
changes of weather considering the presence of the
sun.

EXPLORE

Group the pupils by 3. Each group will be provided a

SELECTION
In the morning, when the sun is low in the sky, the
temperature is colder. The sun rises in the east. At
noon time, the sun is overhead, the temperature is
hottest. In the west, as it sets the temperature become
colder.
Temperature changes because sunlight strikes earth’s
surface at different angles. It is hottest at noon when
the sun is overhead. In the afternoon and in the
morning sunlight strikes earth at slant. The slanting
rays of the sun is not as hot as it is directly overhead.

EXPLAIN

Let the reporter of each group to report their work.
2.Discussion
Weather changes over a period of time.
Temperature changes because sun strikes Earth’s
surface at different angles. When the sun is over
head, the temperature is hottest. When it strikes at
slant, temperature is colder.
