I define myself as an ‘adventurous’ and ‘people-oriented’ youth who love to explore new culture and

engaging in local activities. I have a background experience that related to community and social
activities. Started in early 2018, I participate in over 10 volunteer activities such as river clean up, local
community development, blood donation, community gardening, and local cultural preservation.

My experiences motivated me to lead a project called “sustanailabe tourism through local wisdom in
Lombok”. As a project leader, I managed to help develop the tourism potential of the village community
by creating tourist destinations such as camp areas, Sasak cultural performances, and walking tours of
Loloan Village, North Lombok. Through volunteer projects, I learn about leading people, making
decisions about certain situations, I learn how to take an active role in the life of communities. On that
basis, I have a dream to be a great leader who put forward an active participation of citizens and provide
a platform for local people to have a voice in the democratic process.

By following YSEALI Academic Fellowship Program I believe that immersing myself in a new culture and
environment would be an invaluable experience that would allow me to broaden my understanding of
the world, deepen my experience in social activities, and enhancing my leadership skills. I believe that
this program would be an ideal fit for my interests and goals, and I am eager to contribute to all the
academic and leadership opportunities that this program offers.
