JCAN (Controller Area Network)


D The CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial data communication for a real time application. It is a
multiplex communication to be equipped for a vehicle and has the communication speed (500 kbps) and
function to detect malfunction.
D The communication wire uses a twisted-pair wire. The bus line has a high line (2.5 V to 3.5 V of voltage
is applied) and a low line (1.5 V to 2.5 V of voltage is applied).
D The CAN system in the new models is used to connect the following ECUs and parts via junction connector
No.1 and No.2.
