ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS
The Andaman & Nicobar Islands is a union territory of India. This territory is known as A & N Islands, or ANI. It is
located in the Indian Ocean, in the southern reaches of the Bay of Bengal, nearer to Indonesia and Thailand. This
comprises two island groups - the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands - which separates the Andaman Sea to the

Based on the above information in the tables of either of the islands make mathematical problems using the four
operations on Integers so that the answers are the numbers given in the table. Accompany the mathematical
problem with images of what the answer is depicting.
Example: Inhabited Islands of Andaman & Nicobar Islands: 31
Mathematical problem : 10X(2+1)+1=31
Write some names of the Inhabited Islands of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and paste some pictures of them.

Adaptation of animals in various habitats:
Look at the beautiful Wildlife Map of India created by
the Indian Cartoonist Rohan Chakravarty (Green Humor).
Various famous animals from different parts of India are depicted here.
See the detailed map here:
https://www.greenhumour.com/2015/10/the-wildlife-map-of-india.html
Specific instructions:
1. Pick any three animals shown here each from any three regions:
(a) North India (b) Central India (c) Northwest India (Desert) (d) North East India (e) Indian Ocean and Arabian ocean.
Thus, you have to focus on any 9 animals from all over India.
2. Find out about adaptations of these animals to their habitat, reproduction, climatic features of the habitat (temperature,
humidity, rainfall, elevation etc). Prepare a informative chart/Scrap book/Brochure for the same. Size of Chart should not be
bigger than an A3 sheet.
3. You can add images/drawings of the animal and its habitat to make your work more interesting.
4. Write adaptations in points. Keep the points crisp and clear. Simply copy pasting huge text will lead to deduction in marks.
Read and then write in your own words. A simple, concise and clean information about each animal is way better than huge
amount of text.
•Historical facts about the Island.
