SUMMER HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK (2023-2024)

Sweet as a berry, Summer is merry

Cool fruits and lemonade

A memory that will never fade

Vacations are always FUN

Remember not to go out in the sun!!!

Dear students,

Summer vacations are fun, frolic and not waking up to an alarm clock. However utilize rest of your time in a
constructive way to enable you to keep in touch with your school routine. These tips will make your vacations
productive, enjoyable and stress – free.

 Make a schedule to complete your tasks.

 Maintain good health and hygiene: summer is a great time to be and stay in shape. Eat good food, enjoy
the seasonal fruits, keep cool and stay healthy. Consider joining a summer camp, or at the very least go
outside to the park and have fun everyday.
 If you love languages, try and learn new language.
 Practice handwriting, make a photo album of the places you visit during the vacation and share them with
us when you come back.
 Keeping in touch with academics is essential even though the school year is in recess. Follow a routine,
when school resumes, you will be grateful that your academic knowledge and skills have not deteriorated
but rejuvenated.
 Help your parents and grandparents in their tasks.
 Explore new places, listen to stories, try new skills, draw and colour, play indoor and outdoor games and
keep yourself fit.
We wish you an enjoyable and fun packed summer break from 1st June, 2023.

We will meet again after the vacation on 4st July, 2023. Remember to bring along your HOLIDAY WORK AND
PROJECT WORK AFTER VACATION. Students with the best presentation of homework will be felicitated in
school assembly.

With Best Regards

PRINCIPAL
Time to be SPIRITUAL……
Dear students,

As you would have an ample time with you ,you have a chance to tune your mind and body with some spiritual
frequency. You are suggested to do regular meditation and to chant the most scientific proven hymn of hindus i.e
HANUMAN CHALISA.

Hanuman Chalisa gave distance between the Sun and Earth accurately.

This one is the most interesting and scientifically based fact.

18th verse from Hanuman Chalisa ,

“ जुग सहस्र जोजन पर भानू।

लील्यो ताहह मधु र फल जानू॥ १८ ॥ “

Writing the words in English,

juga sahasra jojana para bhānū।

līlyo tāhi madhura phala jānū॥ 18 ॥

This translates in Hindi as

“The Surya, sun situated {1 Yug = 12,000 years, 1 Sahasra = 1000, 1 Yojan = 8 Miles, (Yug x Sahasra x Yojan) =
12,000x1,000x8 miles = 96,000,000 miles (1 mile = 1.6 km) 96,000,000 miles = 96,000,000x1.6 km = 153,600,000
km} 153,600,000 km from the earth, was swallowed by you after you assumed him to be a sweet fruit. “

1 Yug = 12000 years

1 Sahasra = 1000

1 Yojan = 8 Miles

Thus 12000 * 1000 * 8 = 96,000,000 miles (‘*’ represents multiplication) 1 mile = 1.6 kms

This further implies that distance is 96,000,000 * 1.6 kms = 153,600,000 Kms

Which is the most accurately calculated average distance of the Sun and Earth?

The average distance from the earth to the sun as calculated by modern scientists in 19th century is
92,955,807 miles (149,597,870.691 km).

Hanuman challisa was written by Tulsidas in Awadhi language who belongs to 15th century, which means the distance
between Sun and earth has been calculated much more accurately than the 17th century scientists even before 2
centuries. For more details you can study on the given url:
