इसी तरह भारत के प्रत्येक राज्य में अनेक लोक कथाएां एवां लोकगीत प्रचनलत हैं l जो वहाां की सामानजक व
साां स्कृनतक नवरासत को सहे जे हुए हैं l
आप सभी छात्र अपने राज्य की एक लोक कथा के नलए सनचत्र कॉनमक तैयार करें तथा कॉनमक के अांत में वहाां का
एक लोकगीत भी नलखें l

3 समास के भेदोां के नाम नलखखए l प्रत्येक भेद के पाां च-पाां च समस्त पदोां का नवग्रह करते हुए समाज का नाम भी

SUBJECT: MATHS

1. Find the value of x, y and z in the given factor tree. Can the value of ‘x’ be found without finding
the value of ‘y’ and ‘z’? If yes, explain.
2. In Fig. 3.1, ABCDE is a pentagon with BE|CD and BC||DE. BC is perpendicular to CD. If the
perimeter of ABCDE is 21 cm. Find the value of x and y.

3. Form the pair of linear equations in this problem, and find its solution graphically: 10 students of Class
X took part in a Mathematics quiz. If the number of girls is 4 more than the number of boys, find the
number of boys and girls who took part in the quiz.

4. The sum of a two digit number and the number formed by interchanging its digits is 110. If 10 is
subtracted from the first number, the new number is 4 more than 5 times the sum of the digits in the first
number. Find the first number.

Vijay is trying to find the average height of a tower near his house. He is using the properties of similar
triangles.The height of Vijay’s house if 20m when Vijay’s house casts a shadow 10m long on the ground.
At the same time, the tower casts a shadow 50m long on the ground and the house of Ajay casts 20m
shadow on the ground.

1. What is the height of the tower?

TOPIC – CORROSION OF METALS AND PREVENTION
 - Take two glass tumblers and place clean iron nails in each of them. Label them as A and B. Pour
water in glass A and cover it. Pour boiled distilled water in glass B, then add about 5 ml of oil and
stopper it.

- On the basis of your observation from above activity, prepare an investigatory project to
investigate the conditions under which an article made of iron rusts. List any four methods used
for the prevention of rusting of iron.
