RE: Advertisement of Scholarship Opportunities at Kenya Water Institute


The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation in
collaboration with the consortium of Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) East Africa,
Fagligt Fælles Forbund (3F), Diversity & Equal Opportunities (Divérs), and
Ulandssekretariatet (DTDA) invites interested and qualified applicants for partially funded
scholarships to pursue water related courses in any of the Kenya Water Institute
Campuses.
The courses offered under this scholarship are:
1. Plumbing and pipefitting
2. Wastewater Management Technology

The courses are at artisan level (KNQF Level 4) and will last nine months equivalent to
one academic year. Full details of the scholarship description and the application form

Interested candidates who meet the requirements should fill the application form and
submit soft copies of their applications, National Identity cards, and KCSE certificates on
or before 25th November, 2022.

KEWI encourages all qualified persons; including women, persons with disability
and persons from minority groups to apply. Only successful candidates shall be
contacted.
The decision of the Selection Panel of the Consortium will be final.
NB: The Institute will NOT charge any fees for this call and will not be liable for
claims on monies paid to other parties by applicants.

Scholarship Opportunities at Kenya Water Institute – November 2022
The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation in
collaboration with The Denmark International Scholarship Program invites interested and
qualified applicants for Partially Funded Scholarships to pursue Artisan courses in
Plumbing, Pipefitting and Wastewater Management Technology in any of the Kenya
Water Institute (KEWI) Campuses.
The Institute hopes to recognize, train and mentor young Kenyans who demonstrate
interest and willingness to develop careers in Construction and Water, Irrigation and
Sanitation sectors.

Eligibility for the scholarship


1. Must be a Kenyan citizen with a National Identity Card,
2. Applicants must not exceed 35 years old,
3. Must have a Certificate of Kenya Secondary Education (KCSE),
4. The scholarship is available for both female and male students / participants, but
special emphasis is placed on female students interested in developing careers in
construction and water sector fields.

Award Type: Scholarship-on-Admission

Level of study: Post-Secondary / College – Artisan Course

Scholarship Attributes
The Denmark International and Kenya Water Institute Scholarship will cover:-
1. Full Tuition and Accommodation,
2. Stipends (Up-keep and Transport for students),
3. Graduation fee
4. The scholarship is tenable only at Kenya Water Institute in any of the four
campuses: Nairobi, Chiakariga, Kitui or Kisumu commencing January 2023.
How to Apply:
1. Fill the online application form available on Institutes website https://kewi.or.ke/
2. Scan and upload a copy of your - National Identity Card (both sides) on the
online application form
3. Scan and upload a copy of your Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
(KCSE) certificate ) on the online application form
4. Successful candidates will be required to submit their original and copies of the
documents for authentication on the day of admission.
