Minutes of Council Meeting dated June 22, 2023

1. The meeting was called to order at 6:03 PM by Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski.

2. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, led the Council in the opening prayer.

3. Everyone joined in the Pledge of Allegiance.

4. The May 2023 Minutes were approved.

5. There were 11 members in attendance.

8. Financial Secretary’s report:

9. Don Maes provided an update on the May 28 Pancake Breakfast. The Council
made over a $2,000 profit.

10. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, provided an update on the church pew project.
The pews are now due to be replaced around the end of August. After much
discussion, it was decided to keep the Labor Day Pancake Breakfast.

11. Don Maes stated that the Duck Race tickets are available. Please see Don to
obtain some tickets to sell.

12. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, announced the availability of the Cash Raffle
tickets. Please see Keith to obtain tickets to sell.

13. A Motion was made and approved to donate $200 to Sister Mary Ellen for her
retirement.

14. Don Maes reported a summary of the donations provided to the King Veterans
Home. A letter was read from the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs
thanking the Council and the parish for all of its donations. The cash donation will
be used to provide a dinner catered by KRB of Waupaca for the veterans at the
King Veterans Home.

15. Chaplain’s report:

There was no Chaplain’s report given at this time.

16. District Deputy’s report:

Thank you to the Council for all their efforts while I served as District Deputy for
the last five years. The Council then provided an ovation in recognition of my
service as District Deputy.

17. Field Agent’s report:

Larry London, the Field Agent, conducted the Fraternal Benefits Night.

18. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, announced the names on the Good of the Order.
Keith then led everyone in an Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be to the Father
was said for all on the following list:

 19. Thanks to Keith Kasubaski for providing the delicious Sloppy Joes meal.

20. THE NEXT COUNCIL BUSINESS MEETING WILL BE THURSDAY,

JULY 27, 2023 at 6:00 PM.

21. Grand Knight, Keith Kasubaski, led the Council in a closing prayer and adjourned
the meeting at 6:45 PM.
