NUS Libraries, the university library, will be an integral part of your student life in NUS, providing you a
host of academic resources, services, and experiences.
It is the largest academic and probably the oldest research library in Singapore, giving you access to over
3 million volumes covering multidisciplinary subjects in both print and electronic formats. It comprises
eight libraries, including Central Library, C J Koh Law Library, Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library, Medical Library,
Music Library, Science Library, Wan Boo Sow Chinese Library and the EAI Library. The Central Library is
the largest and serves primarily those from the College of Design & Engineering, Faculty of Arts and Social
Sciences and the School of Computing.
Newly renovated and reopened in December 2021, Central Library offers a myriad and flexible
configuration of space and facilities (nus.edu.sg/nuslibraries/spaces/facilities). Whatever your preferred
style is – comfy couch or swivel chair, private study pod or discussion corner – we have it. Game to explore
the use of AR, VR and MR tools, or looking for free 3D scanning and printing? Don’t miss the TEL
Imaginarium (nus.edu.sg/nuslibraries/spaces/tel-imaginarium).
If you think the library is just space and books, think again. We also support you in many other ways (see
nus.edu.sg/nuslibraries/services-help/learning-support). Before you head down to any one of our libraries,
be sure to check out your borrowing privileges (nus.edu.sg/nuslibraries/borrowing-requests/loan-
privileges) and the library opening hours (nus.edu.sg/nuslibraries/spaces/our-libraries).
Student discipline is governed by the University’s Statutes and Regulations. Details can be found at
https://nus.edu/2s7P63q. As a student of this University, you are required, at all times, to behave
honorably so at to uphold the good name of the University. After you have matriculated as an NUS student,
please familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations of the University and in particular, the rules on
examinations which can be accessed at https://nus.edu/2T3jozq.
Please take note that the University takes a very serious view of any breach of its examination regulations.
Any student found to have breached any of these regulations will be subjected to disciplinary action which
may result in his/her expulsion from the University. At no time will the University authorities accept a plea
of ignorance as an excuse for a breach of any of its rules.
Parking within the University is regulated. The University regards the violation of traffic regulations as a
serious disciplinary offence.
Students are required to park their vehicles in areas designated for them. These areas are clearly
demarcated. Students should not park their cars in reserved parking areas or in areas where parking is
prohibited. Campus security officers are issued with mechanical means, including wheel clamps, to help
them enforce the parking rules.
Fines will be imposed for violating any of the parking regulations. Offences will be reported to the Traffic
Police for appropriate action, the campus being a gazetted area. Offenders may also be dealt with by their
respective Deans under Clause 9 of Statue 25 governing Discipline. Your co-operation will go a long way in
ensuring a satisfactory parking system in the campus.
