Communication
COM Failure
In case of COM Failure: Keep direction to execute RNAV flight PROC. ACFT without RNAV1 capability shall
execute conventional flight PROC. If RNAV1 capability is lost during RNAV ARR PROC, ACFT shall join
in the nearest conventional ARR PROC.
One-directional COM failure:
- If the radio receiver is AVBL and the radio transmitter not AVBL: operate via radar identification after
getting ATC CLR.
- If the radio transmitter is AVBL and the radio receiver is not AVBL: inform the FLT intention to ATC
immediately and report PSN and ALT to ATC in time.
Two-directional COM failure:
- If COM failure happened before IAF and ACFT has received the permission to arrive: follow the
permitted ARR and IAP to approach and land.
- If ACFT has passed IAF and has not received permission for LDG: follow IAP to fly to DA (or remain
MDA to MAPt) to go around, then fly to HFC after keeping along upwind to 1500m, then approach
and land according to IAP.
