NOTE: THIS INSPECTION SHEET HAS TO BE PHYSICALLY CARRIED AND REFERRED BY CERTIFYING
STAFF WHILE PERFORMING THE INSPECTION

1.0 ARRIVAL
3 1.1 Install the wheel chocks.
3, 1 , 4 1.2 Install the nose landing gear ground lock safety pin, (if aircraft towing is required).

16 ● Install Main Landing Gear Safety sleeves, if the Aircraft is expected to be parked for more than 2 hours.
● Install Air Data Sensor covers and blanks, if the Aircraft is expected to be parked for more than 6 hours.
Note: The local meteorological and environmental conditions must be taken into account: The application of
probes protective covers is also required in the case sandy areas or when there is a known insects activity,
even when the parking is less than 6H.
In case of rain follow AMM Task 21-26-00-860-002A Ground Operations in Heavy Rain or High Dust/Sand
Concentration.
3 1.3 If aircraft towing is required, place the towing lever in the "towing position" and install Steering Bypass pin.

1. 4 Review the Aircraft Technical Log / PFRs for any Message / Status (STS) page for any ECAM Messages. Take
appropriate action as per Defect Monitoring and Rectification Procedure stated in EPM- Part3- Vol2- MP10.

NOTE: If Transit is more than one hour, air conditioning and APU must be shutdown with GPU connected. If
no GPU is available, actions are left to the flight crew decision.
Z 210 1. 5 ENGINE OIL MONITORING
1. 5 . Use cockpit indications to check that oil, fuel, hydraulic and oxygen quantities are correct for aircraft dispatch.
1 If the ECAM ENG OIL QTY LOW LEVEL advisory is reported, visually check engine oil quantity on the oil tank
Sight gauge.
For NEO Only: FADEC Ground Power 1/2 to be selected ON for checking the oil level on ECAM and OFF after
Checking.
WARNING: IF NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE OIL TANK CAP, YOU MUST WAIT A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES
AFTER ENGINE SHUT-DOWN TO LET OIL SYSTEM AIR PRESSURE BLEED OFF.
If oil level is below full mark, add engine oil up to full mark. (Reference: AMM 12-13-79).
Record engine oil uplift in MR1 or annotate NIL if no uplift is required.
If oil uplifted, calculate Engine oil consumption rate for each engine & record the same in Tech log
(Total Oil Quantity uplifted)

NOTE: If both engines require oil uplift, apply critical task certifications.

Engine Model: CFM56-5B


1. If the oil consumption exceeds 0.6 quart per hour but less than 0.9 quart per hour, perform the followings:
i. Raise NTC and open work order for monitoring, to identify oil consumption exceeding 0.6 quart per hour.
ii. If the oil consumption rate is below 0.6 quart per hour within 2 days, no maintenance action is required.
iii. If the oil consumption rate maintains at or over 0.6 quart per hour within 2 days, perform TSM task 79-00-00-
10-818/79-00-00-810-819.
2. If the oil consumption exceeds 0.9 quart per hour, perform TSM task 79-00-00-810-818/79-00-00-810-819 before
dispatch of flight.
3. Notify MOC and TSE of high oil consumption rate exceeding 0.6 quarts per hour.
Note for EDTO Aircraft: If oil consumption exceeds 0.9 quarts per hour or oil consumption indicates sudden step
increase by 0.3 Qts/ Hr
i. Perform TSM task 79-00-00-810-818/79-00-00-810-819 before dispatch of flight.
ii. The Maximum serviceable oil consumption rate is limited to 1.6 Qts/ Hr.

Engine Model: LEAP-1A


1. If the oil consumption exceeds 0.35 quart per hour but less than 0.45 quart per hour, perform the followings:
Raise NTC and open work order for monitoring, to identify oil consumption exceeding 0.35 quart per hour.
ii. If the oil consumption rate is below 0.35 quart per hour within 2 days, no maintenance action is required.
iii. If the oil consumption rate maintains at or over 0.35 quart per hour within 2 days, perform TSM 79-00-00-810-
842.
2. If the oil consumption exceeds 0.45 quart per hour, perform TSM 79-00-00-810-842 before dispatch of flight.
3. Notify MOC and TSE of high oil consumption rate exceeding 0.35 quarts per hour.
Note for EDTO Aircraft: If oil consumption exceeds 0.45 quarts per hour or oil consumption indicates sudden step
increase by 0.2 Qts/ Hr
i. Perform TSM 79-00-00-810-842 before dispatch of flight.
ii. The Maximum serviceable oil consumption rate is limited to 0.45 Qts/ Hr.

2.0 EXTERNAL CHECKS


ALL 2.1 Do a aircraft walk-around and check the fuselage, wings and empennage inclusive of probes and Static ports
to make sure there is no:
▪ Impact/Damage,
▪ Foreign Objects,
▪ Fluid leakage,
▪ Missing or loose Fasteners,
▪ Missing overpressure discharge discs of Crew oxygen cylinder & APU Fire bottle,
▪ Damage of the fuselage tail skin by ground contact during take-off,
▪ Obstruction of inlets/outlets, and probes/ports which may have occurred during the last flight cycle,
▪ If necessary, where snow or ice conditions exist, ensure aircraft exterior especially control surfaces and
engine intakes are free from ice and snow.
7, 8, 2.2 Do a check of the engines and make sure:

20, ▪ There is no damage on the air intake and the fan blades, Abradable shroud, Spinner & Booster IGV.
▪ There are no foreign objects in the engine air intake,
▪ There is no fluid leakage
▪ Engine cowl doors including Thrust reverser are correctly closed and latched,
▪ There is no obvious damage at the turbine exhaust, inclusive of LPT blades, nozzle and plug.

3, 11, 2.3 Do a check of the landing gears and make sure:

▪ The NLG and MLG shock absorber shows normal extension and no fluid leaks.
▪ Tires: Condition and inflation
▪ There is no hydraulic fluid leakage from the brake units and wear indicator pin for condition.

3.0 PASSENGER COMPARTMENT


Z 220 3.1 Generally check passenger cabin including lavatories and galleys for obvious discrepancy, cleanliness
TO and presentable condition.
Z 260

For the first flight of the day, check trash cans are installed in lavatories and galleys (if applicable).

4.0 REFUELLING (If required)


4.1 Make sure that a fuel sampling for water and other contamination check is done to the fuel in the fuel
tanker/pump unit.

4. 2 Make sure the aircraft and fuel tanker/pump unit are grounded and electrically bonded together correctly.
4.3 Perform test on the refuel panel.
4. 4 Refuel aircraft up to the required dispatch quantity.
4.5 When the refuel operation is complete, on the refuel/defuel control panel: put the MODE SELECT switch to
the OFF and guarded position, close the access door.

4.6 Make sure that the refuel coupling caps are in place and secured.
4.7 Record uplift/content in the aircraft Transit Check & Fuel/Oil Record Log.
4.8 Fueling Discrepancies- Action to be taken by AME
a. Refer Fuel Discrepancy table :1
b. Recheck all calculations.
c. Advice Captain accordingly.(Note: Capt. Has final decision in the acceptance of any “Out of Limit” discrepancies.)
d. Raise MR1 and defer to MR2 all “Out of Limit” discrepancies for re-check at base.

4.9 Make sure that the Magnetic level indicators (MLI) are retracted and secured.

5.0 WATER/WASTE SERVICING


5.1 In freezing conditions, follow procedure for the cold weather maintenance.
5. 2 After Servicing
a) Ensure the valve lever is in a closed position.
b) Ensure the area is dry without evidence of leaks.
c) Ensure the service panels are closed properly.
d) Physically ensure water availability in Lavatories and Galleys.

6.0 FINAL ITEMS


6.1 Remove all protective cover, blanks, NLG ground lock safety pin and MLG ground lock sleeves from the
aircraft (If installed).

6.2 Do preflight anti-sabotage checks.


6.3 Check and record corrective actions in the aircraft technical log (MR1).
6.4 Certify the TRANSIT check in the aircraft Fuel log and MR1
ALL 6.5 Do a final aircraft walk around:
Carry out a walk-around check ensuring all filler caps, fuel Magnetic level indicator (MLI), servicing and
inspection panels, cargo, service and passenger doors are closed and secured, ensuring no foreign objects at
air-intakes.
● Carry out FOD check around the aircraft before push back .Ensure any Tools/Equipments used
during servicing is accounted for before release for service.
Note: Before closing any panels and / or areas of an aircraft, where maintenance work has been performed,
ensure that the area is clear of any foreign object like tools / rags / oil tins / hardware / locking wires etc.
If necessary, where snow or ice conditions exist, ensure aircraft exterior, especially control surfaces
and engine intakes are free from ice and snow.
● Make sure that no damage has been caused by ground equipment, during baggage loading and/or servicing.
6.6 If external electrical power has been used, request the flight crew instructions for GPU, ASU, ACU & BME
connected are removed.

6.7 Make sure that the aircraft surrounding area is clear for dispatch.

6.8 Prepare aircraft for departure, with necessary personnel and equipment available, observing all the safety
precautions.
Note 1. When aerobridge is used. After the aircraft doors have been closed and aerobridge retracted, ensure
aircraft pitot probes and stall warning probes are free from damage.
Note 2. Do not connect the tow bar to the tow truck whenever the Aerobridge is
connected. Contact the flight crew to inform them that the aircraft is ready for dispatch.

6.9 Remove the wheel chocks for pushback.

6.10 Carry out aircraft towing/pushback as per flight crew instructions.

6.11 CAUTION:DISCONNECT THE TOW BAR BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE TOWING LEVER SAFETY PIN.
THIS PREVENTS POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT SYSTEM.
After aircraft towing or push back, ensure the towing pin is removed and the towing lever is in the normal
(Spring loaded) position.

7.0 AUXILIARY POWER UNIT- APU OIL MONITORING


7.1 APU OIL MONITORING
1. Check the APU oil level (Through the MCDU, APU service data/oil page)
2. Slowly add the oil until the level in the APU is at the FULL mark.
3. Record APU oil uplift in MR1 or annotate ‘Nil/Zero’ if no uplift is required and also Check APU hours
& cycles and record them in the MR1
4. In-case of printer unserviceable condition, take a photo of APU Page in ECAM DU then record it.
Note for EDTO Aircraft: Calculate APU oil consumption rate (if oil uplift is required for EDTO Aircraft APU oil
level check) and record it in MR1 together with current APU hours.

Record the oil consumption, oil uplift, APU Hours, date and flight no. in the NTC. If oil consumption exceeds 0.099
Quart per hour, perform trouble shooting as per TSM 49-00-81-810-867-A.
8.0 FLIGHT COMPARTMENT
8.1 A. Carry out General Visual inspection of the Cockpit Compartment and carry out necessary rectification.
B. Carry out cleaning of the cockpit compartment and the instrument panels.
C. Carry out inspection of secured AMDS wires/connectors for its proper stowage on the console area of Capt.
side and F/O side. (Applicable for VT-HYD, VT-IMP, VT-JRT, VT-PNQ).
D. Check the document folder for a minimum 10 quantity of MEL and INOP Placard availability. If not
available, replenish the same.
E. ECAM: Check all pages of ECAM including Warning/Caution and status Messages. Take action
accordingly.
F. Crew Oxygen System: On the lower ECAM DU, on the DOOR/OXY page, make sure that the oxygen
pressure is indicated in Green. If the Amber half frame is shown, do a check of the oxygen pressure for
the flight crew.z
Note1: If the pressure indicator shows less than 1100psi, Inform MOC.
Note2: Replacement of Oxygen bottle to be planned, If pressure indicated in the ECAM DU is less than
below values/ For Aircraft dispatch refer Appendix-I
AIRCRAFT REGISTRATION PRESSURE
All Aircrafts (Except VTZ, BKK, AMD, HKG, KTM, BOM, MLE & ALL
NEO) 750 psi
VTZ, AMD, HKG, KTM, BOM & MLE 1100 psi
BKK 760 psi
ALL NEO 800 psi
8.2 Check for the items in the spare lamp box. Replenish missing items. If spare is not available, raise CFI
accordingly. Check spare printer paper rolls for availability in the location. if not available replenish the same
(Applicable only for night halt station)
9 PASSENGER COMPARTMENT
9.1 A. Flight Attendant Panel: Check all pages on the FAP. All pages related to Lights, Doors, Audio and the
operation of the Hard Keys. Check for any other message displayed on the FAP. Take appropriate action as
per AMM.
B. Do the GVI of Passenger Compartment and Lavatories for any abnormalities and do necessary rectification.
Note : Inspect all lavatory paper and linen waste receptacle enclosure access doors ( Galley & lavatory
flapper door) and disposal doors for proper operation, fit, sealing, and latching for the containment of possible
trash fires (Source: FAA AD 74-08-09)
10.0 EXTERNAL WALK AROUND
10.1 A. Energize Aircraft Electrical Network: Keep the Hydraulic system pressure ON (Before starting Walk
around inspection) for obvious signs of static leaks from the system components and hydraulic
connections.
B. Carry out external walk around as per item no 2.0 (External Checks)
C. Carry out inspection of the following decals for its condition and replace if necessary
i. NLG & MLG: Tyre pressure placard &” Inflate tyres with nitrogen only” placard.
ii. Engine fan cowl: Engine oil fill placard, Caution/Warning placards.
Note: If the damaged/worn out/missing decal cannot be replaced promptly, raise Nil CAT MR2 to rectify the

same within 10 days.

11.0 COCKPIT AND PASSENGER COMPARTMENT

11.1 Check the presence of 6 Quarts of Engine oil (TURBO OIL 2380) in the bulk cargo area along with the
serviceable tag. Check the batch No. and expiry date of oil tins. Replace if due for expiry within next 7 days.

Carry Out the Functional test of the Windshield Rain Protection as per AMM TASK 30-45-00-720-001-A
** Applicable only during monsoon season

Carry Out the Operational Test of the Full Face/Quick Donning Oxygen Masks FIN: 5757HM 5758HM 5759HM

Carry Out the inspection of cabin, post night stop cleaning as per QD/MP/01
