tiles fixer as needed
workers as needed
9. WORK METHODOLOGY
9.1 Leveling & alignment
The level & alignment point must be done carefully before starting the work.
Backing to wall filling must be completed in accordance with technical specification.
Corner protection shall be fixed in each corner to protect ceramic tiles edges.
It consist of a stainless steel Y8 m/m rod fixed with plastic universal anchors
(fisher).
9.2 Fixing ceramic tiles
The application procedure for fixing ceramic tiles using Nitotile GP & Nitobon SBR.
All leakage through dW to be rectifired before setting.
All surfaces must be soundness, clean and free from all traces of grease and oil.
All loose particles of mortar and deleterious materials must be removed.
Concrete substrate should be soaked with water.
Approximately 3 ltr. Of Nitobond SBR, and 3 ltr. Of clean water should be
added to 25 kg of Nitotile GP that mixed with a slow speed drill until a uniform,
lump free consistency is achieved.
Allow the mix to stand for about 10 minutes mix again, then it is ready for use.
Mixed Nitotile GP is spread on the substrate to a thickness not exceeding 10
m/m with a notched trowel. The tiles are then placed firmly into the adhesive
bed with a twisting motion.
As an alternative, the product may be spread on the substrate to a thickness
of approximately half the total thickness of the bed, while the remaining
thickness is applied on the back of the tiles.
After 4 to 5 days minimum of fixing the ceramic tiles, filling of joints must be
done with approved material.
