BRIEF ABOUT ICI-INDIAN CONCRETE INSTITUTE
The Indian Concrete Institute Bengaluru Centre is a non-profit organization formed by group of practicising
Civil Engineers and related professionals including those interested in the area of Concrete and related fields.
Founded in 1982, ICI has a professional membership of over 14,000 members across India and about 350
Corporate and Institutional members. The Bengaluru Centre of the Indian Concrete Institute is amongst the
oldest centre's and has been consistently rated as the Best Centre over many years in a row. In addition to a
large number of professional members from Industry, Academia, Corporates and general citizenry, it has over
55 student’s chapters in various Engineering colleges spread across Karnataka, India. ICI conducts regular
Seminars, Workshops, Technical-brainstorming sessions, Project visits, Policy-decision discussions,
dissemination of knowledge etc., through various events, both online and offline. The members of ICI visit
various Engineering Colleges on a regular basis as part of Industry-Academic connect initiative and to impart
application oriented and latest technology related knowledge to (Civil) Engineering Students and Faculty.
BRIEF BACKGROUND OF THE DEMINAR: The DEMINAR was ideated and incubated by Indian Concrete
Institute (ICI)- Bengaluru Centre. DEMINAR (SEMINAR + DEMONSTRATION) is an Biennial Flagship event of
ICI Bengaluru Centre. Since its inception about a decade ago, DEMINAR has evolved over time into a best in
class event, propagating the Vision of ICI including dissemination of knowledge in the domain of Construction
and Infrastructure Industry and upskilling of various classes of Professionals.

ABOUT THE DEMINAR: "Concrete Panorama" offers an unique opportunity to showcase the latest Systems,
Products and service offerings from the “Micro, Small, Medium & Large Constructions and Innovations” . The
demonstration can either be witnessed in-person of beamed live to the audience in the Auditorium. This is a
unique opportunity for all those from the Construction and Infrastructure sector to not only show case the
latest developments but also ensure upskilling of their teams through participation as Delegates. This kind of
Deminar is only one of its kind in India and is growing in popular amongst all those in the Construction,
Infrastructure, Innovation, Policy-making and Commercial fields.

THEME: The theme chosen is: “Micro, Small, Medium & Large Construction Technologies And Innovations”.
The large constructions that we normally witness such as Highways, Towering buildings etc., constitute only
about 3% of the entire construction Volume in our country; Whereas about 97% of construction opportunities
are in Micro-Small-Medium spaces such as Individual home buildings, Commercial and industrial construction
etc., which offers ample opportunity to all those - no matter how small or large their establishment - to
enhance their business offerings and further Technological innovations through cross-corporate
collaborations. It is worthwhile to note that there is humgou thrust being given by the Government as well as
entire ecosystem surrounding this theme. Hence, it is but obvious that this sector deserves the focus that it is
entitled to. Hence the theme of this DEMINAR 2023.
