I write this letter in enthusiastic support of Ferzeb Zaidi—unrelated to me, despite the shared family name—who is

applying for admission to the MA Applied Linguistics program at San Francisco State University. I had the pleasure of
teaching Ms. Zaidi in two courses, Pedagogic Grammar and Text Analysis during her Master's program in Applied
Linguistics, and a course on Syntax at the MPhil level.
