About the country: It’s capital is Ankara, it has a lot of archaelogical sites, also, Ataturk is basically
a founder they revere.

About the religion: Islam is the most dominant religion in Turkey, it is practiced by around of 98%
of citizens in the country.

The traditional and most common clothes are the Shalwar and Kameez, it’s clothing that is used by
both men and women.

Turkey is a transcontinental country in Western Asia and Southeast Europe, it has a population of
about 85.28 million people, it is a country with a very rich culture, history and traditions. Ankara
and Istanbul are both of the most important cities in the country in terms of turism.

The official language is turkish which is not only spoken in Turkey, it is used on countries that were
part of the Ottoman empire. Other languages that are spoken in the coutry are arabic, bosnian,
etc.

The most common and emblematic memorabilia are the turkish evil eyes, they’re amulets used to
protect oneself against the evil eye, they’re very common in the country and are almost
everywhere going from homes toe ven cars, doors, workplaces, etc.

Turkey’s most famous traditional dishes are:

- Döner kebab (Thin slices of lamb meat and flatbread)


- Lufer (Blue fish)
- Meze (Cold aperitives)
- Lahmacun (Kind of similar to pizza)
- Dolma (Vine leaves filled with rice)
- Melmen (Scrambled eggs)

Turkish government is a unitary state under a presidential representative democracy and a


constitutional republic within a pluriform multi-party system.
A famous character from Turkey is Cansu Dere, she’s an actress and famous hostess who has
reached a lot of countries from across the globe.
