Module 1 : Module incorporating the maxi fuses (2)

py

Module 2 : Module incorporating an electronic card, the fuses and the relays (1)
Co

The main functions of the engine fusebox are the following :

Distributing the electrical supplies under the bonnet
Switching of certain actuators under the bonnet
Transferring of power to the passenger compartment fuse box, built-in systems interface
 Communication on the BODY CAN
Permitting the acquisition of the signals from sensors under the bonnet

2. Module 1 of the engine fusebox

Module 1 of the engine fusebox assures the following :
The distribution, and protection by maxi-fuses, of the BAT+ electrical supplies to the components
connected via the main harness

3.3. operating mode

rig
py

The electronic part of the engine fuse box has 4 operating modes :
Co

The "system inactive or standby" mode : While the ignition plus (engine fusebox internal) and RCD+
supplies are below 5,5V
The "power latch" mode : The ignition plus and RCD+ supplies are below 5,5 V and the main relay is
controlled by the engine ECU
The "system reawakened" mode: all of the functions are active ; Communication on the multiplexed
BODY CAN is effective
The emergency mode in the event of absence of communication on the BODY CAN

3.4. functions
Description of module 2 of the engine fusebox :
Distribution and protection of the BAT + and ignition positive electrical supplies to the components
connected to the main harness and the engine harness
