SREEJAYA’S SCHOOL OF CLASSICAL DANCE (SSCD) INSTITUTION POLICY

Policy 1 – Registration & Training Fee:

➢ A new enquiry who wishes to join Sreejaya’s School of Classical Dance has to pay Rs.1000 towards registration fee
and 2 months fee towards training charges as advance.
➢ Training fee is always payable as 2 months advance for future fee payments also after the 1st time registration.
➢ A student will pay the training fee every alternate month, i.e once in 2 months.

Policy 2 – Class Commencement:

➢ Bharatanatyam being a traditional art form and as SSCD follows the traditional aspects of the same, Guru Dakshina
to be offered to the Guru or Teacher on the 1st day of class(Offline Only) in the form of Betel Leaves (Pan) 2 to 3
nos., Betel Nut (Supari) 1 no. & money as per your convenience.

Policy 3 – Uniform:

➢ SSCD uniform is mandatory. Students need to get their uniform within 10 days from the class commencement date.

Policy 4 – Class Discipline – OFFLINE:

➢ Students should maintain discipline and punctuality in the class. Students are required to reach the class at least 10
to 15 minutes early and wait for their allotted time slot.
➢ Late coming will not be tolerated and may not be admitted once the class starts.
➢ Attendance is compulsory and remaining absent for many classes will affect their performance and progress.
➢ Parents, student’s relatives or friends accompanying a student will not be allowed inside the class.

Policy 5 – Class Discipline – ONLINE:

➢ Students to join the class on time. Late comers will not be allowed after 10 minutes of class start.
➢ Students to stand in their position with camera positioned to allow full view for the teacher.
➢ No playing in between the class with siblings or interacting with family members.
➢ Do not un-mute unnecessarily which disturbs the entire class except in case of genuine doubts.
➢ Chat box should not be used and no sending emojis.
➢ All students to stand in their position during the class. Sitting is allowed only during the mudra / hastha
session or during breaks.

Policy 6 – Affiliation – The International Dance Council, UNESCO, Paris:

➢ SSCD is affiliated to The International Dance Council for the certification.

➢ 3 Levels of Certification is offered by the Council.
➢ Students to pay the certification charges for each certification exam and also any other charges that may be
incurred for the same.
➢ Exam may be conducted in Online or Offline mode depending on the student registration status.
➢ 1st level of certification training and exam will be after 2 ½ to 3 years of learning and may vary based on
the progress of the particular batch.

Policy 7 – SSCD Account – Fee Payment Remittance:

All students to compulsorily remit their regular training fee to SSCD School’s Current Account or UPI ID.
NO CASH PAYMENTS ALLOWED.

Policy 8 – Home Practice Videos, Tests / Assignments & Stage Shows:

➢ SSCD will provide home practice videos wherever possible, but will not be a substitute for the student’s
regular online or offline classes.
➢ SSCD will share the videos periodically or whenever it is due to be shared.
➢ No class recording will be given for online or offline sessions.
➢ SSCD will conduct periodic tests and assignments and the students have to submit / attend the same as per
the dates given.
➢ Students will become eligible for their first stage program “Nrithya Sandhya” on completion of the basic
curriculum of 3 ½ to 4 years. Stage programs can be done only for OFFLINE students and students
currently under ONLINE mode of training and eligible to perform will need to start attending OFFLINE
classes and a minimum of 1 year of direct practice.

Policy 9 – Fee Payments, Refunds, Class Breaks & Penalties:

➢ A student is allowed 5 days grace period for remitting the training fee from their respective due date
including the due date.
➢ A student will be liable to pay Rs.300 as late payment penalty additionally in case the student fails to remit
the training fee according to their due date and grace period.
➢ After the grace period, the student has to pay the training fee + Rs.300 late payment penalty.

➢ Failure to make the fee payments and the late payment penalty if any will result in cancellation of registration and
removal from the class group.

➢ Rejoining fee of Rs.500 will be charged in case a student is removed due to non-payment of fee. A student who
wishes to rejoin will then have to pay the above rejoining fee of Rs.500 + pending training fee + Rs.300 late payment
charges.

➢ SSCD classes will run throughout the year and students taking short breaks and rejoining the same batch will have to
pay rejoining fee of Rs.1000 + pending training fee + late payment penalty (if any).

➢ No free breaks will be allowed under any circumstances. Fee is also payable for holidays declared by SSCD on the
occasion of Dussehra, Christmas etc.

➢ Students shifting from Online mode of training to the Offline mode of training or vice versa, will have to pay a
transfer fee of Rs.500.

➢ A maximum of 3 months break will be allowed for the same batch a student has joined. A student returning after 3
months will be degraded to a lower batch if available on payment of Rs.1000 rejoining fee. If a lower batch is not
available, the student is liable to pay the pending fee from the intimated date of break month.

➢ Registration fee is non refundable. The training fee is non refundable if the student requests for refund after the class
has commenced and irrespective of the student attending or not attending the classes. Refund will be done only
before the start of the month wherein the student has paid the fee in advance and also intimates SSCD.
