My participation in the BizzGame simulation, I was able to effectively develop and apply a range of
skills and strategies within the realm of business management. As I take a moment to reflect on my
experience, I can confidently say that I have achieved several of my intended learning objectives.

A key skill I honed during the BizzGame simulation was the capacity to formulate and execute a solid
strategy. By thoroughly examining the available market data, my team and I made informed choices in
various aspects such as sales, procurement, production and finance. We meticulously considered
market dynamics and devised a strategy focused on optimizing profitability and achieving a
competitive advantage.

A vital component of our decision-making process involved the creation and assessment of budgets.
We developed comprehensive budgets for different aspects of our business operations, utilizing the
provided market information. Through regular evaluation, we ensured that our financial plans were
aligned with our chosen strategy. This iterative approach enabled us to adapt and optimize resource
allocation effectively.

At the outset, we faced a notable challenge due to the lack of precise calculations for pricing and
marketing costs, which resulted in financial losses. However, as we grew more acquainted with the
game mechanics, we enhanced our decision-making process. We began making better-informed and
timely decisions, which significantly contributed to our overall success.

The BizzGame provided me with a valuable understanding of the inherent trade-offs associated with
business decisions. I learned to carefully consider and evaluate various factors, such as price versus
demand, price versus revenue, price versus profit, quantity versus costs, promotion versus cost price,
capacity expansion versus capital costs, and capacity utilization versus costs. Balancing these trade-
offs was essential for optimizing our business performance. This knowledge empowered me to make
more informed and strategic decisions throughout the simulation.

Through the active application of these skills and strategies, my team and I experienced a steady
progression in the game, moving from 10th place to 5th place. This notable improvement serves as a
testament to our adaptability, our capacity to learn from mistakes, and our ability to make informed
decisions. As a result, our profitability increased significantly.

Participating in the BizzGame provided a realistic and dynamic learning environment where I could
effectively translate theoretical concepts into practical situations. This immersive experience
expanded my business knowledge and honed my decision-making abilities, equipping me with
valuable skills to tackle future challenges in the business world.
