EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

I recently have done my internship in “INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD COMPANY


LIMITED” In which I got training from each department. The system, the style of working and
the Commitment of employees in INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD is really exemplary. In this
report I have given a very brief review what I observed during my internship. I have mentioned
all these as I have made an internship as according to the schedule. I have done SWOT analysis
as well as Ratio analysis of financial statement.

I joined INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD on 1st of JAN 2022 for a period of six weeks. During my
internship, I worked in different departments and learnt many new things which I had not
knowledge before. I have learned planning, booking, marketing, account etc. I have learned what
kind of professional attitude to adopt while dealing with customer. I realized that the management
of INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD believes that they are responsible for providing accurate
information regarding their product.

The main purpose of my study was to review and analyze Marketing and Financial activities to
understand the role of both departments by using my skills, knowledge and abilities. This
report provides an analysis and evaluation of current and prospective profitability Liquidity
and financial stability of INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD.
PERFACE

The one of the most significant aspect for doing an internship is to fulfill the requirement of
degree. Internship the tool to enter into a practical life by gaining a foothold in a practical life
during my internship I gained a widespread view of INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD. The most
beneficial part for me during the report is to encash various skills and attributes. The most
positive point of internship is to provide learning by spending time in real organizational
environment.

I have spent 6 weeks in various departments of INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD. During my
internship I have been able to learn the practical aspects of business, and seek good working
experience. I am indebted to the supervisors, coordinators and other management team who
accepted my presence in their working environment cooperated with me in preparation of report.

COMPANY INTRODUCTION

 INFOTECH (PRIVATE) LIMITED is located in Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan and is part of the
Professional and Commercial Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers Industry. INFOTECH
(PRIVATE) LIMITED has 293 total employees across all of its locations and generates $11.10
million in sales (USD).

Where in sales office Lahore there are three departments performing their activites
accordingly. These department are;

c. Planing Department

Its main business activity is manufacturing, marketing and sale

provide free education to the local children.

The Company has also made generous contributions to such noble causes as the Aga Khan
University Hospital (AKUH), Institute of Behavioral Psychology (IBP) and the World Wild
Fund (WWF). We are proud to be associated with these organizations in providing better
educational and healthcare facilities for all.

Reaching out to those in need has always been part of our collective conscience. COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT, in 2005 stepped up to lend its assistance to „Khyber Pakhtunkhwa‟
(formerly NWFP), earthquake and flood victims, and recently Cherat once again augmented the
national effort by financially helping the victims of flood by providing them 150 tents for their
shelter.

In addition to monetary contributions, the management of the Company also extended its full
administrative support in carrying various relief activities in the camps.

INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD is recognized as one of Pakistan’s leading COMPUTER


EQUIPMENT producers. We provide our customers with high quality COMPUTER
EQUIPMENT for use in general construction and in niche projects where stringent quality
requirements may apply. The Company is proud to have an extensive client base in both local
and export markets.
INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD produces clinker using a mix of both local and imported inputs.
With the successful launch of Line III for clinker production, which boasts a total production
capacity of more than 14,700 tons per day, the Company has significantly enhanced its
production capacity to more than 4.5 million tons per annum.

and weaknesses of the firm by properly establishing relationship between the item of the
balance sheet and profit and loss account.”

Financial Statements are prepared to meet external reporting obligations and also for
decision making purposes.They play a dominant role in setting the framework of managerial
decisions. But the information provided in Financial Statements is not an end in itself as no
meaningful conclusion can be drawn from these statements alone. However, the information
provided in the financial statements is of immense use in making decisions through analysis
and interpretation of financial statements.

Tools of Financial Statement Analysis:

Following are the most important tools of financial statement analysis.

1. Horizontal and vertical analysis.

1) Horizontal and Vertical Analysis:


Horizontal Analysis or Trend Analysis:

Comparison of two or more year's financial data is known as horizontal analysis, or trend
analysis. Horizontal analysis is facilitated by showing changes between years in both Rupees
and %age form.

Trend Percentage:

Horizontal analysis of financial statements can also be carried out by computing trend
percentages. Trend percentage states several years' financial data in terms of a base year.The
base year equals 100%, with all other years stated in some percentage of this base.

Vertical Analysis:

Vertical Analysis is the procedure of preparing and presenting common size statements. Common
size statement is one that shows the items appearing on it in percentage form as well as in Rupees
form. Each item is stated as a percentage of some total of which that item is a part. Key financial
changes and trends can be highlighted by use of common size statements.

2) Ratios Analysis:

The ratio analysis is the most important tool of financial statement analysis. Ratios simply
means one number expressed in term of another. A ratio is statistical yardstick by means of
which relationships between two or various figures can be compared or measured. Ratios show
how one number is related to another.
Advantages of Ratios Analysis:

1. Simplifies financial statements.


2. Facilitates inter-firm comparison.
3. Helps in planning.
4. Makes inter-firm comparison possible.
5. Help in investment decisions.

There are various ratios which can analyze any particular financial statement of any firm.
CURRENT RATIO

Current ratio may be defined as the relationship between current assets and current liabilities.
This ratio is also known as "working capital ratio". It is a measure of general liquidity and is most
widely used to make the analysis for short term financial position or liquidity of a firm. It is
calculated by dividing the total of the current assets by total of the current liabilities.

Interpretation

In 2020 Current Ratio decrease that show the current ratio is effected due to stock in trade are
not sale properly and it may caused the covid situation but its not a problem for company
because its collection is effectively work and current ratio is on standard.
NET PROFIT AFTER TAX

Net income after taxes (NIAT) is a financial term used to describe a company's profit after all
taxes have been paid. Net income after taxes is an accounting term and is most often found in a
company's quarterly and annual financial reports. Net income after taxes represent the profit or
earnings after all expense have been deducted from revenue. Net income after taxes calculation
can be shown as both a total dollar amount and a per-share calculation.

Interpretation
NET PROFIT BEFORE TAX

Net Profit Before Tax means the operating profit of a Measured Entity before tax. It incorporates both

The asset turnover ratio measures the efficiency of a company's assets in generating revenue or
sales. It compares the dollar amount of sales (revenues) to its total assets as an annualized
percentage. Thus, to calculate the asset turnover ratio, divide net sales or revenue by the
average total assets

satisfaction of all its stakeholders. The Company seizes every potential opportunities from its
core strengths, overcome its weaknesses to prevent possible threats. Keeping this in perspective,
our pursuits consist of diverse strategies having external and internal origins. The Board of
Directors aims to minimize all possible risks by adopting a Risk Management Framework, as
fully covered in an other section of this report.
Furthermore, the BOD takes advantage of potential opportunities with the objective of improving the
value of the Company for all stakeholders.

makes our production process efficient.

various sectors, i.e. Packaging, Sugar, Ethanol, Airconditioning and Generators, thus
making a strong and well established portfolio of the group.

✔ Our Company is rich in High quality natural reserves which are easily available at our
Plant location.

WEAKNESSES

The Company have not fully explored the international market yet. However, with the recent
announCOMPUTER EQUIPMENT of new Greenfield production line (Line IV), the Company
plans to target new markets to achieve its optimum level.

OPPORTUNITIES

✔ The China–Pakistan Economic Corridor initiative remains a great opportunity for long-
term growth of the industry.

✔ With the focus of government on the revival and improvement of COMPUTER


EQUIPMENT Industry in the form of several tax relief, the company expects further
improvement in profit margins in the future.

✔ Government's recent initiative regarding construction activities, including Dams and


NAYA Pakistan Housing scheme are key potentials for the Company's future growth

THREATS

✔ Growing pressure on prices due to rising input costs on account of increase in gas, coal
and other fuel prices coupled with devaluation of PKR versus other foreign currencies
will continue to put pressure on the growth of local sales volumes in the short-term.
However, growing export demand on the back of favorable market dynamics and PKR
devaluation is expected to substitute such slow-down in growth of local sales with
growing export volumes, thereby mitigating such risk.

✔ The COVID-19 has significantly affected the macro economic conditions globally which
put immense pressure on the local and export sales. While the pandemic has receded
significantly in the country, any resurgence of it within the country or globally will further
hamper the COMPUTER EQUIPMENT demand.

✔ Recent events in Afghanistan has led to political instability which may affect our export
sales.

RECOMMENDATIONS & SUGGESTION

After analyzing full report I want to give some recommendation suggestions to the firm

1. The web site of the company should be updated, existing site is not attractive and have
lack of comprehensive information about the company.
2. If any dealer has complaint towards the INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD, there is not any
complaints cell for solving the dealer‟s problem. So there should complaints cell in all
offices.

3. There is no visiting room in the INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD, SOL that need to be developed.
4. The place of Finance department is not sufficient and need to be established more.
Because it covers very small area and sitting arrangement is also very pitiable. The
company should expand the area of Finance department and decorate it.

INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD should establish adequate internship programs for their internees
because there is no fastidious facilities for the internees

CONCLUSION
As a diligent member of the corporate community, the company generously contributed to
various social and charitable causes most notably to help the internally displaced people of Swat
and recent floods in Sindh, Swat, Nowshera etc. Besides the monetary contribution, the
management also extended its full administrative support in carrying out various relief activities
in the campus set up for the affecters. The employees of the company also contributed their one
day salary to the cause. Apart from the above, the company continued to contribute regularly in
other social sectors like health and education

In order to improve business processes by bringing them in line with internationally followed
practices and further sharpen its decision making capacity, the company put into operation SAP,
an Enterprise Resource Planning System. An agreement to this effect was signed with M/s. SAP
Pakistan and M/s. IBM Pakistan has been engaged as the implementation partner. The use of
SAP allowed the company to further leverage its capabilities and enhance its efficiencies.Energy
cost constitutes a major portion of the cost of production for COMPUTER EQUIPMENT plants.
In order to address the issue of rising production costs, the company has installed Waste Heat
Recovery System. The installation of WHR plant not only brings in substantial savings but also
entitle the company to carbon credits, which was a major consideration for investment in this
project.

INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD focus would be to constantly seek out growth opportunities
through increased quality assets and by offering a wider range of products and services to their
esteemed dealers or direct buyers. There are significant growth opportunities for INFO TECH
PRIVATE LTD, and they are confident in their ability to grasp them. They are committed to
enhancing the shareholder‟s value and look forward with greater optimism to a prosperous
future for INFO TECH PRIVATE LTD.
