Living near Cultural Facilities

life in the big city certainly has its share of ups and
downs. however, all cities have something that is
sorerly missing in smaller towns and suburbs:
cultural facilities

CULTURAL FACILITIES are places such as museums,

libraries and theaters, which provide cultural service
to the public.

Increasingly, people who move to big cities mention

these facilities as one of the main reasons for their
choice.
but as with anything life in the heart of the city can
quickly become overwhelming. the question then
becomes, is living near cultural facilities really
preferable to the quiet life?

Those in favor of cultural facilities claim that they

increase people's quality of life. Indeed residents who
live in these areas can enjoy many conveniences.
There are more things to see and do than in quiet
neighborhoods. So , life can definitely seem more fun
That fun can quickly wear off, however. Today many doctors
argue that living in dynamic districts has a negative impact on
people's health. These areas are typically overcrowded and
noisy. So, it is hard to get enough rest when people are yelling
and cars are constantly honking outside your window.

Additionally, having too many cultural facilities in one place

can create unfriendly neighborhoods. People are always
moving in and out, and it becomes difficult to develop close
relationships with neighbors.
Nevertheless, many feel that cultural facilities are great
educational tools. Citizens with easy access to the facilities often
have more opportunities to learn new things and meet diverse
people. These experiences , supporters say, create smarterand
more open-minded people.
