VIRTUAL PITCHING COMPETITION

PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT
Good day everyone! We would like to gently remind all shortlisted teams to be
prepared to attend the Virtual Pitching Competition scheduled on 17th June 2023,
Saturday. Please take note of the following instructions prior to attending the Virtual
Pitching Competition:

1. Slide Submission:
a. The latest presentation slides (after amendment) should be submitted by
17th June 2023 via the Google Form link provided HERE
(https://forms.gle/kB9FjJ8XDMnkXGMy7).
b. The slides must be submitted in PPT or PDF format via the Google Form
and not exceeding 500 MB in size. The slides submitted will be used
during the Virtual Pitching Competition as a backup.
c. All teams must use software to prepare the presentation slides, such as
Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva, Photoshop, etc. However, interactive
slides created by online software like Prezi are not allowed.
d. All ideas should be ORIGINAL, and all references must be cited.
e. Kindly notify the organiser if there are any patent or copyright
reservations for the submitted slides.
f. Any submissions that exceed the due date shall not be entertained and
are non-negotiable.

2. Virtual Pitching Competition Platform:

a. Good news! There will be a Live Stream powered by Malaysiakini
during the Virtual Pitching Competition in which TEN (10) teams will
be staged virtually to pitch their ideas. Please note that additional marks
are not allocated for teams that are featured on Malaysiakini’s Live
Stream.
b. The organiser will be using TWO (2) separate platforms for the Virtual
Pitching Competition as presented below:

c. The schedule for ALL teams on both Zoom Webinar and Cisco WebEx
platforms are drawn and can be viewed in ATTACHMENT 1. The
organiser shall update the teams if there any changes to the schedule.

3. Rules & Regulation:

a. Kindly rename yourselves on Zoom and WebEx accordingly,
TeamCode_Name (e.g., T001_Ng Yen Yan). Team code can be viewed
in ATTACHMENT 2.
b. During the Virtual Pitching Competition, each team will be given TEN
(10) minutes for the presentation and SEVEN (7) minutes for the
question-and-answer session. ONE (1) minute will be allocated to solve
if experiencing technical problem during the pitch.
c. During the Virtual Pitching Competition, the team will be eliminated if
they do not show up within FIVE (5) minutes of their pitching slot.
d. Participants MUST share their screen to present the slides during Virtual
Pitching Competition. However, the host shall assist in sharing the slides
during the competition if any technical challenges are faced by the team.
e. All team members should present in English with appropriate attire. Any
absence without prior notice will result in the team's disqualification.
f. All team members are required to wear their respective school uniform
during the virtual pitching competition.
g. Every team member MUST switch on the camera during their respective
pitching session. A virtual background file will be provided, and
participants are required to change the virtual background accordingly
by accessing the file HERE (https://tinyurl.com/8zkthxh3). Any
inconvenience should be informed before the presentation.

 h. Participants are encouraged to sit in a quite environment and wear
earphones/ headset to avoid distractions and deliver the best pitch to the
panels.
i. The organiser has all the rights to eliminate/annul/disqualify the teams
that violate the rules and regulations stated above. The organiser may
take such actions without prior notice.
j. The organiser will hold the right to publish submitted slides presentation
and presentation recordings for future publications without prior notice
to the participants.
k. However, it would be done with the acknowledgement of the authors or
the school.
l. The judge’s decision is final.
