PROPOSAL

OBJECTIVE
This project is designed to strengthen community resilience and stimulate inclusive economic
growth of the Indonesian community.
The selected group will be assisted to acquire stocks (including seeds or seedlings), and be
provided with technical assistance on the preparation, planting, care and harvesting of farm
products, on a leased land plot.
The development objective of the Project is to:

1. Support a self-sustaining community development program through farming and small-


scale gardening system that are compatible with local preferences for commodities.

2. Generate income of the Indonesian community.

3. Encourage the Indonesian community to spend time in growing vegetable and sell on
the available market.

4. Provide technical assistance to the selected target group on how to growth plants, crops,
preparation, planting, care, harvesting and using fertilizer.

5. Promote the Indonesian farming product in South Korea.

6. Provide fund to lease the land plot.

7. Assist to sell at convenient stores or markets.

8. Strengthen the resilience of Indonesian community in South Korea against economic


crisis.

9. Knowledge transfer and showcasing business opportunities related farming industry to


Indonesian communities.

EXPECTED RESULTS AND BENEFITS


Expected Project results include: expanded employment opportunities and increased incomes
among the Indonesian community.
The benefits generated from this project will be used for the interest of the selected target
group.

TARGET GROUP

The members of the project comprised of selected men or women from Indonesian community
in Ansan and have experience in growing, watering, and harvesting farming commodities prior
to living in Korea.

After harvest, members could sell their products in the market to generate income.

There will be 10 members to be selected for this project.

MANAGEMENT OF PROJECT
This project is managed by a selected Indonesian Community as mentioned above. The
management includes:
a. Choose the seeds and plants based on the season
b. Hire/provide persons to plant, provide care, and harvest the crops
c. Calculate/set the pricing for each crops
d. Distribute the harvest to targeted markets
e. ….

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
To transfer the knowledge, supervise, and provide assistance to the selected Indonesian
community, the ... will provide technical supervisor with consultation with the Ansan local
government and/or Indonesian experts/researchers.

This project will start from July 2021. Most of Indonesian vegetables products are harvested
after 3 to 4 months of planting. We expected that the first harvest will be from October to
November 2021.

TYPE OF SEEDS AND YOUNG PLANTS


This project will provide the Indonesian community such seeds (import from Indonesia and/or
young plants available in the Korean market).

LAND

Ansan city, through the Foreign Workers Support Center has already plead to lend a land plot to
be used by Indonesian community supported by this project.

The land offered is 1.000 m2 and the ... could request to use all or part of the land for this
project.

The land is located very close to Singiloncheon Station in Ansan City, 3km from Foreign
Workers Center in Ansan and basecamps of Indonesian community in Ansan.

BUDGET COST AND FINANCING
The ... will provide community development fund to rent a land plot and provide technical
assistance as well as seeds, young plants, fertilizers, and related equipment’s for the project.

The ... will also propose to the Korean local authorities to support and offer an available land as
possible.

MARKETING IN KOREA

We will assist our project members to sell their farming products at the chain of Asia
Marts in Korea, Indonesian restaurants, cooperatives, and other consumers .
