UBM599 -DIGITAL WORKFORCE GUIDELINE


SEMESTER MARCH 2023

This course assessment requires students to explore the emerging trends of digital working environment
via crowdsourcing. Students are required to experience themselves as a digital freelancer who works on
digital tasks. Students need to apply their knowledge and skills to complete crowdsourcing tasks from
crowdsourcing platforms and generate income. Students will be assessed individually for their ability to
obtain jobs, completing the jobs, generating income and establish their portfolio in the crowdsourcing
platforms (e.g., Freelancer, Upwork, Guru.com, freelancing, etc).

Students are required to report the profiling information, total number of jobs awarded, the total number
of jobs completed, the income earned, and the Star Rating obtained from completed projects or contests.

All jobs and communication with clients must be done through ONLINE communication channels ONLY.

Important Guidelines

1. FORMAT (Project Documentation): Documentation should be word-processed


2. COVER PAGE: Include Name, Matrix No., Class Group, and submission date.
3. BACKUP: Students are reminded to make backup copies of all their programs and documents.
Excuses, such as “hard-disk crashes,” WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
4. INTEGRITY and PLAGIARISM: Any duplicated or plagiarized work, if detected, will be
automatically awarded 0 marks. Lecturers reserve the right not to accept any project lacking in
substance or copied from some other sources.

 Develop a proposal/cover letter based on the requirement Writing and communication skills
