Exercise 1
a) A 40 meters Fast Crew Boat (50 pax capacity) operating daily from a jetty base
ashore, departing at 0700 hrs every day to an ashore platform transporting
offshore workers, subsequently moving platform to platform as required until 1800
hrs, upon which she returns back to base and ties up alongside until the next
morning.
b) A 60 meters Anchor Handling Tug (AHT), operating in a spread with another two
AHTs, moving anchors for a pipe laying barge, operating 24 hrs a day,
continuously for 90 days non-stop.

Exercise 2
Charterer requires that the Master and the one senior engineer (for
winch/shark jaw, towing pin operation) are in the bridge at all times
when the vessel is undertaking anchor handling activity.
Question: How would you man the vessel in term of Deck Officers and
Engineers?
How would the watch keeping arrangement schedule look like?
Exercise 3
Vessel is on the way to the port. Office has informed that ballast tank no.1 is to be
inspected by a Class Surveyor based on a condition of class issued 3 months
ago.
Master is advised to clean and prepare the tank for inspection while the vessel is
on the way to port.
Question: Describe in general how the task will be planned, coordinated and executed
