WEEK 1 DAY 2 DAILY OBJECTIVES
After 5 hours of Psychiatric Nursing Clinical Exposure, I will be able to:
1. Employ therapeutic communication to continuously establish rapport and gain the patient’s
trust during the nurse-patient interaction
2. Create and construct an individualized nursing care plan focused on the patient’s diagnosis,
manifestations, emotions and thought process
3. Perform the assigned psychotherapy to the residents to strengthen their coping mechanisms
and social functioning skills
4. Encourage the client to participate in the group activity by utilizing sympathetic,
nonjudgmental language
5. Demonstrate a pleasing and professional attitude throughout the rotation by embodying the
URIAN core values and upholding the vision, mission, and goals of the Nursing Program
