CONTEST FORMAT
Grade 3 to Grade 10/11

Contest Devices
2 devices and 2 zoom links | The same Zoom display name

It has to be computer or laptop allowed. It can be any smart device.

First device will connect to the CONTEST ZOOM LINK and This will connect to the MONITORING ZOOM LINKS and
log in to Online Contest System (OCS), and do the zoom monitor the student’s position during the contest. This
share screen all the time. device has to be in camera on during the competition.

Log in via LAPTOP/COMPUTER

1. Please change your zoom display name according to the CONTEST PASS
So that invigilators will acknowledge and admit you to the zoom.

2. Prepare your printed/digital CONTEST PASS

Wait for the invigilator instruction to start the contest.

3. Get Ready to log in to your ONLINE CONTEST SYSTEM (OCS)

Wait for the invigilator instruction to start the contest.

ONLY LAPTOP or COMPUTER IS ALLOWED to log in Online Contest System

Whiteboard/ Scratch paper, Marker/ pencil, Eraser

You are allowed to have whiteboard/ scratch

paper to do your working.

But please tear it up after doing your working

and erase all your working after finishing.

You are not allowed to use SMARTPHONE

during the competition. Calculator is allowed.

Set up the phone/laptop so that there is an unobstructed view of student.

Also ensure that the computer screen cannot be seen

FAQ

• Can I drink water during the contest?

• Yes. You can bring along your water bottle when you take the contest
• Can I eat snack during the contest?
• No. You are not allowed to eat snack during the contest.
• Can I go to washroom (toilet)?
• Yes. Please inform the invigilator before you go to the washroom, and
you need to come back quickly as the contest clock will not stop.

FAQ

• Who should I contact if I can’t login to zoom after disconnected?

• You can contact your teacher if you are under school based or inform us in the WA
Group for Private Candidate.
• Do I need to change the zoom display name for the monitoring device?
• Yes, you need to change the monitoring zoom display name the same as the contest
zoom display name as showed in your contest pass.
• What device can I use for the monitoring zoom?
• You can use any smart device such as your mobile phone, iPad, tablet to login to your
monitoring zoom link.

FAQ
• Can I use tablet or iPad to take the contest?
• NO. Only laptop or desktop is allowed to take the contest.

• How does the invigilator know that the student is not using desktop or laptop?
• If you are using mobile phone, iPad or tablet, you won’t be able to do multiple share screen
with the rest of the students.
• We also have the monitoring device to see what is the device you use to take the contest.

• Can I use calculator?

• Yes, calculator is allowed for all levels in VANDA.

FAQ
• If the laptop disconnected while doing the contest, can I help my child to login
again?
• Yes, you can. However, once the child login to the system and resume the contest,
you must leave the room.

• Do grade 11 and 12 do the same test level? or separated? Also in certificate, Is it

show "G11/12 (JC)" or separated?
• Grade 11 and 12 will grade and mark together.

• Can I use more than 1 piece of paper during the competition?

• Yes. You can.

• You should receive your contest pass either from SIMCC Indonesia or
Your School PIC.
• Please login to the OCS after the briefing session to check that there is
no issue with your credential
