How we can write hamza ‫
ء‬

In most cases, the hamza needs a carrier

At the beginning of word hamza is written above the

alif if it’s with fatha or damma

As follows :

For example: ‫ أنا‬and ‫أ ُ ْم‬
And it’s written below the alif if it’s with “kasra"
For example: ‫إسالم‬

• There are three forms of the "Hamza"
which is decided by the "Tashkeel" of the
letter that comes just before it whether it
is a "Fat-ha", "Dhamma",or "kasra

• So if the hamza come after letter with fatha it
will be over the "Alef" with short line as ‫ ـــأ‬for
example ‫ سأل‬

• If it come after letter has kasrah it will be over
thing called Nabera as ‫ ئــ‬for example ‫ِبئر‬
• If hamzah come after letter with dammah it
will be over waw as ‫ ـــؤ‬for example ‫ سؤال‬
