Dear Mrs. Hood and staff,

I would like to sincerely say thank you for giving me an opportunity to grow and expand my
knowledge in the sports and recreation field. You all have also given me another year of
experience, taking on a whole new task in learning how to manage and how to be a director.

Interning at UREC has molded me into being more comfortable and confident as a leader, and I
cannot thank you, Jordan, and Greg enough for the guidance provided to me. I’m grateful for the
challenges I was faced with, although the job seemed a bit easy. Thank you for trusting my
decisions and making me one of the main pieces that helped shift the culture of Winston-Salem
State University.

This summer intern increased my interest in being a facility manager. I’ll be leaving school with
hopes of becoming a facility operator for a Division I or professional sports team once I take the
next step in my career. I hope you will help me in the process when I use you all as a reference.
