Short Operating Instructions SmartTest

These short operating instructions are only valid in conjunction with the complete operating instructions for the SmartTest HLT
(IG 0100 BD). All safety instructions in that manual must be strictly respected.

Startup Procedure
SWITCHING ON

➡ Switch on SmartTest with mains switch on the rear side of the unit.

-> The HLT runs up automatically and displays the “R

Standard adjustments: Mode: Vacuum Mass: 4He

Filter: dynamic

➡ By pushing the button Setup current adjustments can be changed.

SETUP MAIN MENU see page 2.

MOUNTING THE TEST UNIT

➡ For leak detection in vacuum mode, connect the test piece at the testing flange
(DN 25 ISO-KF).
➡ Push button START/STOP.

-> Evacuation of the test piece starts and the current pressure is displayed.
-> If measuring status is reached, the display changes to MEASURE.

MEASURE

➡ At a leak rate signal < 1x10-9 mbar l/s push ZERO button.
-> Current leak rate signal of the system is subtracted (see complete operating instructions).
-> At active zero function leak rate display changes to < 1x10-12 mbar l/s.

➡ Insert testing gas into the test unit.

SNIFFING MODE

➡ Changing from vacuum to sniffing mode: see page 2 MODE & MASS.
➡ Connect sniffer probe LP 5xx (option).
➡ Mount testing connection blank and push button START / STOP for starting measurement.

➡ Actuate changements with button +/- .

➡ Save changements with button Save.

PARAMETER SAVE / LOAD

Load or save different parameters.

With button Load factory settings the leak detector can be reset to standard values.

Load factory settings?

Standard settings:
Mode: Vacuum Mass: 4He
Filter: dynamic Venting: with STOP

➡ Push OK button for saving the factory settings.

CALIBRATION SETTINGS (VAC)

➡ Compare test leak value to the value on the sticker (unit rear side) and correct it as fol-
lows:
➡ Select Calibration mode int. auto with button +/-.
➡ Save changements with button Save.

Calibration
IG 0101 BEN_I (1008)

➡ Mount testing flange blank.

➡ Activate Calibration with button Calibration at the menu READY TO START .
➡ Save calibration factors with button Save after successful calibration.

LANGUAGE

➡ Select language.
➡ Save changement with button Save.
