Use of manometer together with high-pressure

hydraulic tools
Engine type This bulletin concerns WÄRTSILÄ® Vasa 22, 22/26, 32, 32LN, WÄRTSILÄ®
20, 20DF 32, 32GD, 32DF, 32LNGD, 34DF, 34SG, W34SG 46, 46GD, 46F,
50DF and 50SG engines.
General High-pressure hydraulic tools are needed for several different maintenance
and service tasks on the engine. To ensure safe and correct use of the
tools, a manometer must always be coupled to the hydraulic circuit. The
manometer reading indicates when correct pressure is reached for
loosening and tightening of hydraulically tightened nuts, and is also
important to safeguard against excessive pressure when using hydraulic
jacks.
Instructions
Always use a calibrated manometer when working with hydraulic tools.
Connect the manometer last in the circuit to ensure that hydraulic
pressure reaches all hydraulic cylinders, and that the pressure shown is
the actual pressure at the hydraulic cylinder(s). Do not connect the
manometer (first in circuit) using a T-piece at the pump.
