_ With the advancement of technology, we can get information and entertainment on
the go, with a couple of clicks of a button. This’s also true when it comes to books.
With the rise of E-books, many people are migrating from the traditional methods of
reading to the modern method. However, like other things, the introduction of E-
books has both advantages and disadvantages, so following this essay will explain my
viewpoints in detail and then we’ll reach to a proper conclusion.
- First, we shall start with the advantages of E-books. It can be said that today, many
people are willing to use the E-books for their different purposes. Due to the
technological advancements, the availability of E-books has made reading possible
on the go. E-books are easy to use and the only requirement is that having internet
access which very common these day, also a medium to read the material on, an
example of which is a tablet, phone, laptop etc…. which can fit easily in to a
person’s bag. Secondly, the E-books are helping to save people’s time and cost

- Now let us look at the disadvantages. One of the main drawbacks of E-books is the
fact that you’ll be constantly looking at a screen, which over time can damage your
eyes or eye strains is the best example. There’re many reports that confirm the fact
that people, especially in the working sector face such eye problems due to excess
working in computers. Therefore, people must be precautions while reading in
electronic gadgets. Furthermore, as this is an online service, there’s a greater
chance that files can be lost due to corruption. Lastly, to use E-books you’ll need a
device to read the books from and the device will require batteries to run on.
Therefore, your purchase of batteries will go up

_ To conclude, I do believe that E-books are gaining popularity among the younger
generation and are getting more and more individuals into the habits of reading, all be
