undamaged during transportation. The units will be delivered in containers to
prevent from being damaged.
 Inspection of materials deliveries will be conducted and material receiving
report (MRR‐Material Received Report) will be prepared. Prepare a report
and mention if there are incomplete or damaged items and keep such
materials separately to invite responsible person from supplier.
 Upon received of materials on site these will have to be inspected by QA/QC
Engineer / Inspector as per the AEB‐Arab Engineering Bureau approved
material submittal to ensure correctness of materials and quantities. Ensure
the insulation is protected from weather elements during the transportation.
 A materials Inspection Report (MRR‐Material Received Report) shall be
preapared by QA/QC Engineer / Inspector and the same shall be submitted
to AEB‐Arab Engineering Bureau for their review and acceptance.
2.5.2 Pre – Installation Checks

 Before any materials are installed ensure that these have been inspected at
site and have been approved as per the relevant MIR‐materials inspection
report form.

 Ensure that all drawings are current and marked ISSUE FOR CONSTRUCTION
 Check for space clearance for transportation and installation of the Variable
Refrigerant Flow System (VRF) units.

piping.
 Pressurize the field piping to 150 psig (1035kpa) using nitrogen with a trace
of refrigerant.
 Ensure the system for leaks with suitable leak detector.
 After completion of leak testing, release the test pressure (per local code)
and pull a deep vacuum on the field piping with a suitable pump.
 Insulate the refrigerant pipe between the evaporator and the condensing
unit (suction line and discharged line).
 After 30 minutes, check the pressure readings and, if they have not changed,
break vacuum with nitrogen.
 Pull a second vacuum to 250 microns or less. Recheck the pressure after 30
minutes.
