Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide a description of the TotalView dashboards.

TotalView Dashboards

Maintenance Actual vs. Target Dashboard

CPI Indicator

• Availability: The percentage of time that the equipment is available for operation.

Availability = (Total Time – Scheduled Down Time – Unscheduled Down Time) * 100

Total Time

• Use of Availability: The percentage of time that the equipment is running relative
to the time it is available.

Use of Availability = (Operating Time + Delay Time) * 100

• Usage: The percentage of available time that the equipment is operating.

Usage = (Operating Time) * 100

MTBS/MTBF/MTTR

• MTBS (Mean Time Between Stops): The measure of frequency of maintenance


interruptions on production. (Stops do not include operational shutdowns such as
a shift change, lunch, or fueling.)
• Operated Time: The number of stops for scheduled and unscheduled
maintenance.

• MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures (For Trucks, Drills, and Loader
Fleets)): The measure of frequency of unscheduled maintenance production
interruptions. (Stops do not include scheduled maintenance, or operation
shutdowns such as a shift change, lunch, or fueling.)
• Operated Time: The number of stops for unscheduled maintenance.

• MTTR (Mean Time To Repair): The measure of how quickly a machine is


returned to service once a down time incident occurs. (Stops for scheduled or
unscheduled maintenance.)

Status Hours

• Working Time: The time the equipment is running and doing productive work.
• Delay Time: The time the equipment is running but not doing productive work.
• Standby Time: The time the equipment is available for operation but not
running.
• Down Time: The time the equipment is not operating because of maintenance.

Down Time Duration Hours = Down + Unscheduled Down + Scheduled Down + Operational
Down + Maintenance Delay

Deliverability

Deliverability = (Total Time – Scheduled Down Time – Unscheduled Down Time) * 100

Status By Fleet

Displays the equipment count by fleet and status.

Displays the details of equipment by fleet and status.

CPI Indicator

• Usage: The percentage of available time that the equipment is operating.

Usage = (Operating Time) * 100

Tonnage By Hour

Displays the sum load tonnage group by hour, day, and month.

Status Metric

Displays the percent of distance by load and dump.

Status Equipment

Displays the percent of time by hauling and traveling.

Production

Displays the sum load tonnage group by hour, day, and month.

Queue Time – Hang Time

The TotalView system computes queue and hang times from the following measured
events:
- Shovel Status Changes
- Truck Arrivals At Shovels
- Truck Departures At Shovels

Conceptually, the definition of queue and hang times are quite simple.

• Queue Time: The total time when more than one truck is at a given shovel
multiplied by the number of trucks queued.
• Hang Time: The total time zero trucks are at a given shovel.

Average Speed

Displays the average speed by load and dump (KM).
