ASSESSTMENT

Assessment/Evaluation:

1. What is the repercussion of human dependency on the environment?

Answer:

The repercussion of human dependency on the environment leads

to the pollution and destruction of it. Humans use animals and trees as
their source of income to sustain their needs everyday that lead to the
destruction of our forest. These human dependency leads to the air
pollution, global warming and climate change. Humans depend on the
environment to supply the raw materials needed for their production such
as minerals underground, that sometimes pollute rivers because of toxic
waste released by the mining company. Most of all we usually use non-
renewable resources in our daily lives that naturally pollute our
surroundings such as fossil fuels.

2. What is ecological footprint. How important is it?

Answer:

Ecological footprint is a measurement use to measure how much

person consumes, expressed in area of land. It composes of the land and
water resources that we consume.

Ecological Footprint is very important for us to be aware of how

much we consume environment resources and the pollution we contribute
in our planet. This tool help us to be eco-friendly and avoid doing things
that may contribute pollution.

My realization about this assignment is always be aware of our

consumption because it is related in caring our planet. Let’s save our
planet together because Earth is the only confirmed planet that humans
can survive. I’m very glad in this activity because I learned to manage my
consumption to save earth.

JOURNAL

Tonight, is August 21 and I download the modules

sent in our group chat. I also make review in two
modules.

Today is August 23, and we had our orientation

and assigning of reports through google meet. Module 7
is the assigned report to me.

Today is August 24, our first google meet class.

I’m so happy because we had discussion about our
topic. Mark Avon is the one who reported the module 1
entitled Introduction in Environmental Science. I’m glad
today because I had so much learned about our
environment and the importance of taking care of it.
Today I realize the big role of humans and responsibility
in preserving our nature. This topic helps me realize to
be aware in all resources we use everyday that cause
pollution or destruction of the earth.

Today is August 25 and I did the task we need to

comply, the measuring of our own ecological foot print.
I realize that even simple human like me contribute
pollution. I also answer the assessment in Module 1.

ASSESSTMENT
Essay:
1. Define population and give one characteristic of population.
Answer:

Population are group of similar species/organism living in a certain

place at the same time. It is term use to define the number of the
organism living in a specific area.

One of the characteristics of population is the distribution which

describe the spacing of organism. There are three types of population
distribution, first is the clumped distribution where in organism are
concentrated in an area. It may offer the population protection from
enemies. Next is the uniform distribution in which organisms are evenly
distributed over an area. Last is the random distribution in which
population has no specific order and spread throughout the area with-out
an over-all pattern.

2. What are the community roles?

Answer:

In the community there are:

1) Producer that make their own energy and sustain all the living
organism.
2) Consumer are organism that cannot make their own food, only
depends on producer to stay alive.
3) Decomposer are organisms that feed on dead plants and animals.

JOURNAL

Today is August 27 and we having our second

google class. Our topic for this meeting is the Module 2
entitled Population and Community and reported by
Clindy Royo. Before we started the discussion Clindy ask
us to answer the prepared activity. I was glad because
I’ve learned so much from the such as define population,
carrying capacity, habitat, niches, food chain, food web,
and community. I also learned the factors that affects
the size of population and the the patterns of population
distribution. During discussion we also recall the
classification of the consumers.

Tonight, is August 28, I started to review the

module and answer the assesstment. I also had fun in
recalling my lessons during high school days. I realize
that the topic of module 2 is very significant in human
to be aware of the population of every species.
