PRE-LESSON: (10 Minutes) Communication


1. Teacher greets students.
2. Teacher introduce the poem ‘My Hero by Willis Hall’
3. Teacher give each students handout containing the poem
4. Teacher read the poem.
5. Teacher asks students about their favorite superheroes' characteristics
and if the character from the poem reflects their superhero.
LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (40 Minutes)

Lesson Development 1: (20 Minutes) Critical thinking
1. Teacher asks students to draw a superhero. It can be already existing Assessment
heroes or their own original idea. (Attachment 2) 21st Century Learning
2. Teachers ask students to list down their superhero strengths and give HOTS
weaknesses.

Expected Answer:

3. Teacher asks students to sit in pairs and discuss the similarity of their
hero and the hero in the poem.

Lesson Development 2: (20 Minutes)


1. Teacher asks students to be in a group of four and discuss the
meaning of the poem.
2. Teacher gives students a worksheet containing pictures about
the poem. (Attachment 3)
3. Teacher asks students to write down the sentence from the
poem based on the pictures.
Expected answer:
● He’s not afraid of a late-night film
