Duties of a good student

Everyone has his or duty. A person’s duty is to do his work well. Everyone in a
government office or at a company has his duty. A man in the ward or a family
member in a house also has his own duty. So also, a student in a school has his
duty to carry out. Someone who is not dutiful will never achieve success in life.

For a student, school life is very important in his life. He has many duties
to be a good student. The most important duty of a student is to attend classes
regularly. He must never play truant. If he fails to attend classes, he must send
letter of absence to the headmaster through the class teacher. Regular attendance
makes him learn his lessons easily. He must pay to the lectures and obey the
teachers. He must learn his lessons carefully. He should ask his teachers the
problems he does not understand. He should keep regular hours for studying since
the beginning of the academic year. He must try to pass the examination yearly.
He must follow the school rules. Only then he will be a well-disciplined citizen
in the future. He must take part in the school activities. He must do his homework
regularly. If he fails to perform his duties, he will be wasting time, money and
energy. Then he may not be able to do well not only in the examination but also
in life. His future will not be bright. A student ought to be thorough in studying
his lessons so that he will not find difficulty in the examination.

Another duty of a good student is to keep himself healthy because health

is important for everyone. He should play a certain kind of game or take regular
physical exercises to be healthy. If he is fit and strong, he can study his lessons
well and will easily pass the examination. To sum up, only dutiful students can
serve their country and people well.
