Unit 1.

Hobby

Everyone, including myself, has a hobby. My hobby is reading books. I think it is a

useful and popular hobby among children and also adults.

I struck up my hobby when I was 6 years old. My mother is the one who enjoys this interest
with me. To carry out this hobby is extremely simple. Especially this time because everyone
needs to stay at home more so as to avoid COVID-19 as well as because we will have more free
time. In my point of view, reading books is both informative and benefical because it brings us
lots of benefits. First, reading books can assist us in learning new vocabularies. Second, it
makes me relaxed after studying hard. In addition, it can also widen my knowledge. Therefore,
reading books is not only an entertaining activity but also a way to improve your study.
I really have interest in reading books. In the future, I aspire to be able to read even more
books.
Unit 2: Health

Now there are numerous modern hospitals and medicines, but keeping good health and
preventing diseases are still very significant. Now I'll give you some tips to stay healthy.

 First of all, you should eat a healthy diet. It is one of the most important tips because if you eat
too much, you will be fat, but if you eat too little, you will be out of energy. You should eat less
junk food and add more vegetables, fruits to your menu. Secondly, I suggest that you should try
out some sports. I think you can play badminton, skipping, or cycle. All of them are fascinating
and also easy to learn. Thirdly, wear a face mask when you go to public places, especially
during the COVID-19 pandemic now. It will assist you in preventing some diseases. That is all
of my advice to you.

In short, keeping good health is necessary and everyone needs to maintain a good
lifestyle.

Unit 5: Vietnamese Food and Drinks.

My favourite between numerous unique and fascinating dished offered in my country is

banh chung, Banh chung is known as one most featured and traditional food in Vietnam.

Chung cake is a special food which is often made at Tet. In my point of view, making a
banh chung is not easy because there are lots of parts and you need a very skillful hand to do it.
The ingredients are leaves, lat, sticky rice, green beans, pork, salt and pepper. First of all,
preprocessing the ingredients. After that, put the sticky rice, green beans, pork on the leaves
together with salt and pepper. Next, fold the leaves over, wrap the cake then tie it with bamboo
strings. Finally, put the cake in a pot and oil it for 12 hours. That’s done.

I extrmely take pride of this traditional Vietnamese cake. I aspire to be able to know and
try more and more dishes in the near future.

Unit 6: Write about a historic place

 In my view, Vietnam is a wonderful country and it’s very famous for its cuisine, culture,
and also its history. There are lots of historic places, such as: Den Hung, Den Cao, Imperial
Academy,... but my favorite is Con Son Temple. Now I will tell you about this historic place.

          Con Son Pagoda is located in Chi Linh City, it was built in 1304. It is more miniature
than it was in the past. These days, it has about 69 compartments with many statues. If you visit
Con Son pagoda, you can see many scenic spots, such as: Ban Co Tien, Gieng Ngoc, Thach
Ban, Nguyen Trai Temple,... This pagoda has two festivals: The Spring festival and the Autumn
festival. Both of them are very exciting and I hope you can participate in them once. Con Son
pagoda is one of the most historical sites in Vietnam.

          In conclusion, Con Son Pagoda is extremely beautiful and interesting, and I am very
proud of this historical place.

Unit 7: Traffic

In today’s modern world, there have been lots of problems. From my perspective, the
traffic problem is one of the most significant problems. Now I’ll tell you about it.

    First, too many people using the road, especially in the rush hour. Therefore, it causes a lot of
traffic congestion and can make people be late to work, or cause the roads to become crowded
or busy. Second, some roads are of low quality. They’re too narrow and bumpy that people
can’t drive easily and safely. Moreover, many road users do not obey traffic rules, so it make
the traffic out of control and accidents happen more easily. 

    To sum up, traffic problems are an important problem. I hope in the future, there will be
fewer traffic accidents and people will be safe when participating in traffic.

Unit 8: Film

After working and studying hard, watching films is one of the most popular activities to
relax, I do it too. Now I’ll tell you about my favorite film.

"Eight Below" is my favorite film.The movie is based on a true story. "Eight Below" is an
adventure and also a romantic film, which was directed by Frank Marshall. It stars Bruce
Greenwood, Jason Biggs, and Paul Walker. The film is about three members of a group of
explorers who must leave their dogs in Antarctica because of horrible weather and an accident.
The main characters are Jerry Shepard-the owner of the pack of Husky dogs, Cooper, Davis Mc
Claren, and the dogs. After being left, the dogs must try to survive in Antarctica until the
weather improves and their owner can go to pick them up. After watching the film, you will see
the dogs’ loyalty and the good friendship between dogs and humans.

          I like this film very much. Watching films does not only help me to relax, but also helps
me to learn new vocabulary.
