I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the learners are expected to:
1. Analyze cause and effect relationship.
2. Differentiate cause and effect relationship.
3. Distinguish cause and effect from the given sentences.

II. Subject Matter: Cause and Effect Relationship- -Stating the Effects of a Given
Cause
References: LM, Grade 4 English Book p. 41 Q3, CG- EN4RC-IIId-4
Materials: PowerPoint Presentation, Chalk, drill board, Pictures
Integration: Science
Value Focus: Being able to connect actions and events and understand how they
impact each other.

B. Review
Can you tell which is real and which is make-believe? Write Yes if it Real and
No if it is Make-believe.

1. The sun eats the moon during a lunar eclipse.

Motivation
The teacher will ask the following questions:

Remember

The cause brings out an event called its result. The result is also called an effect. The
cause answers the questions: Why? What caused it? What was the reason? A cause-
effect relationship describes something that happens and why it happens. The cause
is the reason, and the effect is the result of an event.
