1. Journalism – is a prose style used for reporting in newspapers, radio, and television.
2. Article – is a piece of writing on a particular subject in a newspaper or magazine.
3. Anchor – is someone who reads the news on a television broadcast.
 4. Pamphlet - is a small, unbound booklet that is used to advertise or provide information on
a single subject.
5. Brochure – is a small book or magazine containing pictures and information about a
product or service.

MANILA, Philippines-Phoenix downed Meralco,
100-93, in their PBA On Tour game that didn’t
end without an altercation between Raul Soyud
and Raymar Jose in the final seconds on Sunday at
Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Elbows flew after Soyud got the defensive
rebound with 8.9 seconds with the Fuel Masters
ahead by four before cooler heads were quick to
intervene.
Soyud and Jose eventually patched things up
immediately after the final buzzer, even playfully
reenacting the incident as they flash a wide smile
at each other.
Other than the extra-curricular activities, Soyud
had a strong game with 25 points and 13 rebounds
as Phoenix won for the second game in a row in
the two-month exhibition series.
RR Garcia had 15 points and five assists while
Larry Muyang also posted a double-double with
13 points and 12 rebounds for the Fuel Masters.
Anjo Caram scored 24 points, including 14 in the
third but Meralco lost its second game of the
series.
Jose produced nine points and nine rebounds in 19
minutes for the Bolts.
Norbert Torres came off the bench to score 11
points in his second game for Meralco in the On
Tour since being acquired from Rain or Shine a
few weeks ago.
Soyud put Phoenix up for good at 90-88 with over
three minutes remaining, before the lead was
sustained the rest of the way.

C. MODELLING
Journalistic Writing is a style of writing used to provide information to people in the form of news,
opinion, feature, and sports. In creating different types of journalistic article, you must consider the factual
information of the current events and its appeal to a particular reader.

Types of Journalistic Writing

News Report is a type of journalistic writing that can be in oral or written report of an event. It
should be factual, truthful, accurate and fair. News report begins with an introduction called lead. Lead can
be presented through a phrase, word, clause, or in simple sentence. There are different kind of lead- what,
who, where, when, and how.

In giving commentary and personal stand of the publisher or editor, opinion article is presented.
The opinion article should be concise, factual and presented in logical manner the significant issues of the
concern.

Main function of writing a feature article is to entertain. Same with other article, it should be
factual, however, it focuses to human interest or entertainment.

Sports News Article is a form of writing pertaining to sports topics and games. It is in the structure
of action story but with greater freedom of style of writing.

D. GUIDED PRACTICE

By supporting the new normal school system, Lucena South II Elementary School coordinated to
Barangay Cotta Learning Hub. The program provides free academic support services among the learners and
its community. It is facilitated through a peer tutoring program in which selected pupils from Lucena South
II Elementary School are being assisted and guided in accomplishing one’s self-learning modules and other
learning activity sheets.
