Class profile

 5TH level 95 K is a group of 32 students who belong to different careers.

They are of various ages. One of their strengths is that they have a positive
and enthusiastic attitude towards learning English. However, they have
some aspects to reinforce but their behavior is good. They are working in a
virtual form due to the global situation caused by COVID 1. 
Text Based Lesson Plan

Main aim:

 By the end of this lesson, the Ss will be better able to use narrative tenses in
the context of relationships.
Sub aim:  
 Ss will learn to write a short story about Friendship using narrative tenses.

Warm up: Students share with the class an experience that they had in their last
holidays using the zoom chat.

Lead in: Use the digital platform Mentimeter to ask students vocabulary related to the
word “Friends”.

Text Work: The teacher and Ss are going to review vocabulary about relationships on
page 32. Then Ss watch a video related to the reading and students answer some
questions on page 33. Students read the story on page 33 and answer the questions in
groups and write them in a Padlet as a group.

Language Clarification: Students identify the three tenses past simple, past
continuous, and past perfect on the reading. The teacher will use the whiteboard from
the zoom to explain the differences of the three tenses with examples from the reading.
Next, Ss will watch a video with information related to the narrative tenses.

Controlled Practice: Ss are going to be able to complete the exercises on the book
pages 34 and 137.
Free Practice: Students will create a comic telling a story of how they met their best
friend using narrative tenses on the digital platform Pixton.

Wrap up: teacher will ask some students to read their comics to the whole class.
